Footnote: When my M3 was being detailed I was given a 3-series loaner with ID7 and looking at those side panels in gloss black made me grateful for the new gen widescreen

Sadly the new dash made me switch to an m4

@dct203 - I'm not surprised reading this....apparently the new dash just doesn't feel as accomplished as iDrive7...

I just don't think it works on an M performance car. It belongs in an electric car to me.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have or had a similar experience.
I've owned my m3 for nearly 8 weeks from new. I can't help but notice when the car is at running temp or nice and hot it starts to smell (on the outside) of burning metal? Like you walked into an ironmongery and matys just stopped slicing thru some steel.
I read it could be the cat converter but it smells as if it will just combust any second now...

Anyone have an actual idea?

I'm finally in the club. Order placed in January, took delivery today!
The last three weeks were my fault, the car was at the dealer but I was skiing in South America. No need to cry for me, Argentina.

The car seems pretty good so far. Lots of complex screens to figure out but the other stuff, braking, corners, acceleration, yeah, it's got that all right.

Looking forward to getting to know it better.

I hadn't even finished signing papers and it already knows not to park near other cars. Even when they're both still mine.

These pics are as helpful as possible but I’m struggling to choose wheels for my SG G80. Nobody has any stock so it is impossible to see them in person and pics don’t do wheels justice imo.

My choice was made for me 826m with CCBs

did bicolor because all black is too much IMO
