Maxton design
I recently got some Maxton Design side skirts and rear bumpers because it thought it would make the car look lower to the ground and decided on gloss black because I think it complements my desviar paint better. Anyways, When I received the package, I noticed that you have to drill holes into the car and I was just wondering if this is worth it or it’s better to get some thing where you don’t have to make holes I’m not sure if the part where you make the holes can be bought again and is inexpensive. What are your guys thoughts on this? Any good aftermarket gloss black simple side skirt extensions with oem installation? Thank you.

Only you can decide if drilling holes in your car is worth it. That’s 100% a personal opinion/decision.
I have Maxton side splitters and rear spats, drilled them in without a second thought. If you’re worried about it and ever take them off just fill the holes with small plastic pushpins or something.

I didn’t have to, but I did to secure it better. You could probably get away with just using 3M tape in that spot.

I've been going through the same debate myself for the last few weeks as I also want the look you get with the extended side skirts
I've looked at a number of different suppliers of both gloss black and pre-preg carbon, including the Maxton ones above, and they all have the same fitting requirements, i.e. they do not use original fixtures and fittings and require the extended side skirt to be drilled into the car I've decided that for me it's a no, I'm not willing to drill / screw into the underside of the car, so I've ruled them out completely. However I have found the following three options from CT Carbon and Carbon Factory, which replace the OEM side skirt, provide the extended side skirt look and re-use the existing factory fixtures/fittings. - https://www.ctcarbon.co/collections/...a1afbadf&_ss=c - https://www.ctcarbon.co/collections/...a1afbadf&_ss=c - https://www.carbonfactory.co.uk/prod...irt-21-present Obviously being carbon they are a lot more expensive than the Maxton gloss black option and are potentially only suitable if you already have at least the external carbon pack, however I can't find anything better out there at the moment so it's probably what I'll go for (plus the additional rear spats to round off the look) |

I did drill the holes and I like the results the side skirts gave.

This has just happened to me. Bought a front lip. As soon as I saw that I set in the corner of the garage. Time for reflection and soul searching. Can’t decide.

They were a little bit of a pain to snap into the rocker panel. I ended up taking the rocker panel off the car to install the sideskirts and then drilled in the blades after that. I don't fault CT for that i feel like the tolerances are so tight from the OEM parts.
