Shift Knobs

What kind of shift knobs are my 6MT drivers using? For now I’ve installed the BilletWorkz fusion which is super heavy (500 grams) and I’m really enjoying it!

Thinking about trying the Tall Anatomic Weighted ZHP knob with the G87 boot next.

I’ve attached images of the 2 knobs and I’d really like to see what other people are rocking too.

I went with the Storm Motorwerks V2 specifically because of the weight and height.

For those who swapped out their factory knob, can you please confirm if the white notches highlighted below are actual tabs or just glue?

Pretty sure they’re welded plastic. Mine look like that too now. Would be happy to know it’s just glue.

I know AhsanU is using a Delrin Knob from rogue engineering.

Did no one else change their knob?

Oh hell yes Raceseng
I don't seem to have taken pictures after I painted it with SPY (so now it matches 1:1 with the car).

My problem now is that I moved to Portugal (south) and it get's boiling hot here in the summer; It'll burn my hand.
Just ordered this one to install when it arrives in 2 weeks;

It was either the locking tabs or welded plastic pieces.

I ordered the same knob as you lol, the weight is similar to the one I have and the design is way nicer. I got the titanium though, looks like yours is the other one?

Very nice! I wanted to order the titanium one but I figured this one matches the aluminum trims. Funny enough I originally wanted the same BW you have but I prefer something taller.

It's the old F8x gen MP shift knob.
I had the shift boot bracket removed and sort of fabricated onto our G8x shift boot bracket.

There used to be quite a few new ones on ebay and other websites, but I got mine from either paddleshifterz or schmiedman

Did you have to use set screws or did you just press really hard? It didn’t actually come with any set screws so not sure.

Just press it down and tighten the 2 hex screws on the bottom of the knob.

Lol... I see some funky knobs... they turn BMWs into cheap ricer... I would stick with authentic BMW knobs.

Some are funky, but I think this leather one looks nice and after driving mine for even a short time I can see how a weighted knob would improve feel.

Yes, it's the m performance carbon shift knob.

I swap the bracket and shrink the boot to fit
