Window Tint Recommendation

Looking to do Tint on my 21 BG G80. What level of tint would you recommend. I want to be able to see the interior close-up.

Thanks in advance

What's your interior color ?
(I have Kyalami orange, installed 35% tint and lost all beauty. Interior "color" is not noticeable any more (but the silhouette of the seat and the entire interior is visible) . I should switch to 50%.

No lower than 35% if you want to be able to see the interior. Mine is dark, 15%, hard to see anything.

45-55 in ceramic is the answer.

15-20 = dumb. Thats so dark its stupid hard to see at night.
30-35 is limo looking to me.
45-55 you can clearly see the interior color while having good heat rejection (if ceramic).

Dravit with Fiona red in direct sun. 45% xpel ceramic.

~20% is about perfect, IMHO.

Dark enough for privacy but still fine at night.

I currently have F1 Pinnacle 15 (which is 19% VLT) and I love it.

Does anyone know what the VLT when the G80 is from OEM, before any window tint added?

Pretty sure it's as close to 100% as glass gets. AFAIK there's no privacy glass on these cars in the US, so it's just a % drop of whatever glass doesn't let through into the car.

Every tint and brand is a bit different. Personally, I will do Llumar IRX 15% on all side and rear windows, Air80 on the windshield which is what I've done previously. Obviously it's a matter of taste though.

It doesn't greatly impede night time visibility but is the best balance for my taste for heat rejection and privacy versus going lighter.

You don't need low % tint to get good heat rejection nowadays. Plenty of ceramic tint options that even 70% windshield tint will block 90-95% of heat/UV coming through.

I went with 35 all around. One of my other vehicles is 20 all around and I find that it is kind of hard to see outside at night. So didn't want to go as dark. Conversely though, I do think 35 all around is kinda light during a sunny day but under certain lighting, dusk or a cloudy day, it looks great.

My opinion is the same as yours and I’m still undecided whether to go with 30 or 20.

I personally went the lighter route because it also illegal to have them on the front windows in my Province so keeping it lighter also helps prevent getting pulled over. Haha.

Do you have a pic of your car from the side on a sunny day? Thanks.

not a fan of dark tints here, I got 70% ceramic all around including windshield, pretty much clear but ceramic keeps the heat out. Car is super stock right now, first mod is tint. I always liked Tanz blue with SS, need those seats to pop.
