Rear seat delete DIY done

Has anyone attempted a DIY rear seat delete yet? I know IND makes one at a crazy price but I just can’t justify that $2500 lol. No kiddos and no use for a back seat on my G82 I’d much rather some weight savings. Before I begin my own project I wanted to see if anyone else has come up with anything.

Well since it seemed no one has done a rear seat delete kit before themselves I decided to take a stab at it this weekend. Not perfect but it works. I’ll probably re-do it with black carpet material next so I can avoid the wrinkles.

For those wondering this saves about 50lbs of weight.

I used coroplastic actually. I wanted something that would be as light as possible but still have a semi-solid structure. Plus a big sheet was $30-ish at Home Depot so even if it didn’t work great I had a better template than my cardboard one at least lol.

I actually have pictures from the whole design process and everything but is there anything specific you want to see?

Could you post photos of the thickness and where you have those two bolts?

Are those bolts the stock ones reused? If not, where are they screwed into?

Many posts on the forum say they've had problems with that company, usually orders not arriving and no replies. I messaged them on Insta and no reply.
