Same. Never had one in a Honda, but lots of DSMs and Evos.

TTC, this is why this is just a great forum. I know I go long winded on some of my posts, and I'm sure there are people out there, that just dont even like to see me post, but, I think things like this, are important to point out, so, people don't go down this rabbit hole of trying every clutch on the market.

I have a 2021 G80 and i purchased the FX350 and had the BMW of Encinitas install the kit for me. This is the full clutch kit including a brand-new flywheel. Post install, the car is having a hard time going to First gear and reverse , the BMW tech thinks it could be slave or master cylinder that is the issue. The car is still with them and on Tuesday after the parts arrive they are planning to change both the master and slave cylinder. I am worried that the clutchmaster kit it seld is the problem and given that I am paying out of pocket for this labor that if in fact the issue is with the clutch it self that they have to take everything back out again. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciate it here.

More reason for me to get the auto. Seems like they built the clutch without even having a car to test it on. Or there are multiple revisions of the trans or some special procedure or missing some part where these aren't working properly.

Has anyone tried consulting a lawyer? I’m 12+k deep into a clutch. This is un acceptable and they are refusing to even refund for the 2 units. I have screen shots of conversations with multiple additional people who are having this issue.

For me wasnt worth it getting a lawyer. The stress and the money plus I dont live in CA. However wont ever recommend them or will ever buy an item from Clustchmaster again. |

Yes this will help a lot, the take rate for manual M2 will be much higher and will drive demand for aftermarket clutch kits.

Unfortunately I'm not willing to chance plus I've heard the manual isn't matched very well to this engine power band. Isn't it the same that has been used on the previous gen M2?

What do you mean isn't matched very well ? It's a 473hp underated rwd car, of course it's going to have some quirks in manual form. I have a 6mt M3 that is going on a ship in the next days, I have no interest in the auto after owning an M4C, the CSL could stay but cause it's as good as an auto will ever get but I'd also rather have the 3.0 CSL configuration.

What clutch is g80_soom using?
I will say, as soon as I received my M3 a few weeks ago and sat in it, I’m very glad I went with the manual and not the automatic. |

It's unfortunate Clutchmasters screwd up but there are plenty of good clutch manufacturers who will dig into it if demend is there. It isn't a new story.

Any insight to why the F8x clutch didn't seem to have as much of an issue dealing with mildly tuned cars back then? Perhaps it was the same and I never realized, but I don't recall any mention of stock clutches slipping after just bolt-ons.
