I'm sure the manual transmission wagon choice in this poll would have gathered the most votes. But the reality is that less than 0.1% of the wagon voters would actually go and buy one. That's the paradox of internet hypocrisy.

Agreed. For the dads that want an automatic, I feel they have options...with the X3M, X5M. For the Dads that want a manual, we have nothing. So, I would say the manual wagon is opening new doors. |

I'd trade my M2 in so fast for one
And be trying to graft a M340 bumper on the next day

100% agree that if BMW charged extra for this car (Touring) I would still buy it. Would need to be cheaper than an RS6 for sure but they can certainly mark this up and still have my interest. Just bring the damn thing!!!

Wow I can't believe you guys made a petition. OK those who voted to have the wagon come state, you guys ready to buy it? Cause if you voted for it you should be ready to buy this car, no ifs ands or buts. I didn't think so.
Everyone in the US just wants to stir the pot. Put your money where your mouth is. |

Remember the last two times BMW was successfully petitioned? Yeah the E30 and E36 Ms really didn't sell well at all 🙄

Here's another thing to consider for BMW, the G81 M3 Touring would also pull potential buyers of the E63 and RS6 wagons. Those are $120K+ cars where as the G81 will have a starting MSRP of what, ~$70k? That's a $50k savings for people considering getting a performance wagon. Granted, the M3 is a smaller car and a different class, but for performance wagons, the options are already so slim for picking. That puts more people in the door for BMW. It's a win for them and us, the enthusiasts.
Bring the wagon to the states, BMW!

As a current f31 owner that's in the very beginning stages of f81 conversion, and also owning 4 previous m3's. I would be waiting like people do lined up outside of an apple store the day let us put deposits down.
For someone like me this is having my cake and eating it too so it would be a no brainer. I hate SUV's (have owned several and hated every second of owning them) and need more capacity than a sedan offers having 4 dogs. G81 would be the ultimate road trip car. |
