Is Ivory an actual white or more of a vanilla/cream/light beige color? Trying to decide between this and Silverstone and it seems like neither one is actually white…

Vanilla/cream/light beige from all the photos and videos I have seen. Silverstone has a cooler/light grey tone.

Silverstone regular sport seats (if this helps). I agree: they're (very) light grey, whereas Ivory is a warm white (without the black accents/inserts that come with Silverstone).

Looks fantastic. The white in the Tesla seems to be more of a brilliant white which i do not like.

Id definitely say that the Silverstone bucket seats are white. Not a cream warm white and definitely not light grey but a white white :

Admittedly your the interior in your photo is light grey but the Silverstone in my G80 is definitely white :

I will go spend some time having another look to reconcile with my brain whether Ive got this wrong but to me its its almost a brilliant white and is clearly different to your interior of the F80.

Most people thought my interior was white…. Silverstone is the name and if you know that as a BMW color, you know it’s a very bright/light silver/gray. I’ll go with the color name, as I think what you’re seeing is the immediate contrast with black in your interior (makes the color seem very white).

I like to think Silverstone is grey/smoke grey in the configurator so BMW doesn't confuse people it with Ivory. I had Silverstone in my F80 and it was fairly white. I think Ivory is a slightly different shade of white, but they're both beautiful IMO. My wife wanted me to get Silverstone but I didn't like the black accents of Silverstone seats.

Here's Silverstone on my old F80.

Silverstone is definitely is a light grey/silver to my eyes. Here are some photos from delivery day. It is definitely a light color but I don't feel it is close at all to something like an Ivory or Opal White.

Great interior pics btw!

If im being told by the many that my interior is a light grey then im willing to concede that point but ive gotta say that its as light a light grey as you can get as to my eyes its almost a brilliant white. Its definitely a few shades lighter than Silverstone in the F80 as that is definitely what youd call light grey.

I feel i need to go sit and stare at my interior for a while. Not that I need an excuse of course!

Ok, ok, ok....ive just had the definitive answer......from my wife..........'No way is that interior white, its very light but its not white'. Apparently she thinks I want it to be white because my fav football team is Red and White hence TR over Silverstone.

There you go. Thats me sorted then!

I think youre right its obviously the stark contrast against the black that making grey/white seem brighter.

This is like debating which shade of white paint to pick at the hardware store ... I had Ivory White a few years back on a 535d, now have Silverstone. Agree they're sufficiently similar that it boils down to whether you want black accents on the seats or all 'white'.

Went out to have a look this morning with 'light grey' in my head and ruddy hell if I didnt see it straight away. Helped that my youngest daughter was wearing a white jacket....but hell yes. I see it. Light grey!!!

Driving home in heavy snow, then pulling into our garage with Commercial White walls (the whitest white available) reminded me Silverstone is definitely not white.
