Do you have any numbers to back this up? Not saying you’re wrong but would be interested to see the data.
The only source I see is this post, which seems to indicate the opposite. There have been LESS G82s produced overall over G80s, yet prices are also significantly lower at dealers for both new and used G82s, leading to the clear conclusion that demand is lower for the two door.

Also presumably you saw a higher number of F82s produced over F80s (also can’t find the source for this claim), as the F82 was for sale for about 60% longer in the US, from 2015-2020, while the the F80 was only for sale from 2015-2018.

From what I understand the 4 door M3 is a lot more popular than the M4 in the US, but this is not the case for ROW. Since most folks on this forum are in the US, that could explain the disparity if you are located elsewhere.

In bmw’s own sales projections prior to the launch of the G8x, you can see they forecasted the G80 to significantly outsell the G82 outside of Europe and China:

I live in the UK and virtually every G8x I see on the road (including my current car) is a G82 M4, I see virtually no G80 M3's on the road - which is why I'm buying one to replace my M4!

I see nothing but M4's in my area, can't wait to replace my m340 with the new M3

Hello to all members of the forum. Today i talked to a local dealer and received information that the M4 LCI model will be only available in the xDrive competition variant. Can anyone confirm or deny this ? I planned to buy an M4 LCI, but with RWD manual. Regards

Sounds like BS. Haven’t seen that rumor anywhere else.

It may be market specific. They stopped selling the RWD versions of M3C and M4C in Canada starting with MY2023.

The M4 light changes are for just the CS or the entire model?
