Catless downpipes: CEL or limp mode?

If I install catless downpipes on my G82, will I just have to deal with a ding and a light on my dashboard, or will the car also go into limp mode?

I'm trying to plan the schedule of exhaust install/ECU tune. I don't want to be stuck with a car in limp mode, so if it'll do that, I will do the tune first.

TIA

Just a CEL on the dash, won’t go in limp mode.
Note - if you have remote start it won’t work with a CEL

You can go ahead and put the downpipe first. No issues other than the code on the screen.

Same with flash tunes. It looks like femto is no longer providing the coding to enable it.

Well, that's weak. I use remote start every time I start my car :/

Is there a middle ground between getting a tune to get rid of the CEL from the catless downpipes or getting catted downpipes?

I've heard people talk about O2 simulators. Is that a thing, and does it work?

Ive heard mixed reviews on the sensors. Some say they work, some say it doesn’t, some say its 50/50.

I thought femto no longer codes remote start for those who did not select the option when they ordered their vehicle. But they still support remote start for vehicles that already have the option from factory.

You maybe right. I just remember reading it somewhere one day.
