It doesn't appear they are using launch control with F80 🤨 My F82 grips much better with LC compared to anything else I have tried. Reality is that F80 is a mid to low 10 sec car with proper wheel/tire setup.

I don't philosophically understand the point of this. It's a 700 hp car. Why would you drag it against a car with nearly 1/3 less power? I don't like their antics in previous videos so I won't even click to give them the ad revenue.

I see it as a content provider doing what they need to do to keep money coming in. The video may not appeal to everybody, but it appeals to some, and the clicks/views result in monetary compensation.

There was an Australian YouTube video doing the rounds a while back of a 600hp LS3 powered Holden Torana (similar to a Chevy Vega although Holdens came with factory 6s and V8s) being destroyed at the track by an e30 with just 250hp. Kerb weight was roughly the same, it was all about how the cars made best use of the power they had, and put down the power particularly out of corners. I'd imagine that if they'd taken the F80 and G80 around a track, the G80 would have had the F80s measure easily. |

It did great and as expected I think, the G80 is simply a far superior traction machine. This video is a really good showcasing the grip of the G80 from lift off. The S58 and ZF8 flow so damn well together. Out of the box it's doing exactly what a lot of people are looking for. For me, I'm waiting for tuners to (hopefully soon*) extract its full capabilities like we're seeing in pre-2021 tuned F97s. A tuned S58 with no speed limiter is a scary scary engine. And overrun is important too to have fuel popping and ready to blast gear to gear.
