Has anyone heard from Alexandria yet about any allocations for April? I know some people have been getting them and just wondering if we’re getting kinda screwed because that PM Blue G80 with the 15k mark up is still sitting there.

CA said they received them on Friday but didn't tell me how many, might be worth asking again

Hey all. I don't frequent the Regional forums very often, but I thought I'd stop by and say hello.

I was working with a handful of dealers in the MD area, until I engaged in a phone call spree one day in February when I contacted several dozen dealerships across several states, and ended up with a #1 spot with Crown BMW of Greensboro, NC. Three weeks later (Mar 7), I had my allocation.

Currently set for week 21 production (we'll see). My build:

- G80 Pure (6MT) in Dravit Grey
- M carbon bucket seats in Silverstone / Black
- Executive Package
- Parking Assistance Package
- 19"/20" 826M bi-color wheels
- Carbon Fiber trim
- M Carbon Exterior Package
- Icon Adaptive LED w/Laserlight
- M Shadowline Lights
- Extended Shadowline Trim



Can't wait! (Though I certainly will be!)

I take it most folks are in the NoVA area -- I'm in Howard County, MD -- but hoping to perhaps meet some of you at some CCA meetups or driving events.

I bought mine fron Crown BMW Midlothian. The guys from there were excellent. Can't say much for the West Broad location.

I didn't realize they had more than one location/dealership. I wouldn't say Greensboro has been anything special thus far, but they've been straightforward to deal with. The CA (sales manager?) I was dealing with has since left, so we'll see how things progress now.

Yeah, they are huge... sorry to see that manager go so I would stay on top of it. Create your page on BMW USA so you can track your car yourself.

Awesome,thanks for letting me know. I texted mine again and he hasn't replied. Looks like we'll continue to have to wait a while. Did he say they were xDrive? Or just G80? Because if it's the latter then it will take even longer since we have to share allocations with base and RWD comp models.

Man, that's so confusing that dealers handle these lists differently. It's one of those subtleties that can really be important for those calling around and trying to get on lists, and leaves yet more ambiguity for unscrupulous CAs looking to pad deposits.

It's been driving me to call even more dealers recently. I've been trying to be patient, but rumors of iDrive 8, MSRP increase,and rates going up are just tipping me over the edge now. I went from CT to NC and they either are above MSRP or say they'll have something in a year's time.

I just called BMW of Sterling and the sales guy is saying we can get it to you sooner, just come in. Just finding someone who actually knows the situation has been a chore for me

I hear ya. I guess I lucked out when I landed on that #1 spot with that NC dealer in early February. At this point, it will probably take a small miracle (or an ADM surcharge) to order and get built a MY22 before the model year rotates... but who knows? Maybe they have applied just enough ///Magic onto the iDrive 8 dash/cluster, and maybe they'll hold the line on price hikes. Keep positive thoughts and good luck...

I have no idea what their current queue is, but call Joe Adams (336-323-3859).

Two other recommended CA's I was dealing with and cut loose because their queues were longer at the time:

Jason Ruzek (BMW of Bel Air): (443) 632-1396
Ben Allen (BMW of Annapolis): (410) 349-2575 (M specialist and very knowledgeable)

The NC dealership basically said they can't guarantee anything and that they won't have allocations. One in the order bank and one in production which I assume is yours.

Annapolis basically told me to hold put where I am and didn't me pe on their list as they weren't sure when allocations would arrive. I guess I'll just stay put and see, thanks again for the contact info.

Sorry to hear. I guess they're trying not to get customer hopes up, though I'm surprised they're not even adding you to the order banks.

In the past six months, I've bought a Bronco and two Teslas, all costing way less than my M3 will, and have had way better experiences. I'm very disappointed in both the dealership and BMW.

I'm also really fed up with the awful lack of transparency. Also if things are screwing up because of the M3 they have why the hell wouldn't they just list it at MSRP on their website? They don't actually care. It was already a stretch on my budget to jump to the x drive so I really don't want to be pushed to the '23 model with a price increase. It's going to be my first M car, something I've been dreaming about since I was a kid, and the whole experience so far has really been turning me off. I'll hold out hope but I'm currently somewhere around 8th in line so I doubt I'll get an allocation any time soon.
