Little bit louder

Hi Everyone. I ve been following this platform and finally i registered here with my new M3 G80 AWD i bought 4 days ago. There is only one thing i am little bit dissapointed about this car. Its not laud enough !. I had 2021 X3M Comp before i got my M3 and it was a lot lauder than this. I don’t want to go crazy but how can i make this car little bit more lauder ?

Plenty of options to improve the sound. A valve controller would be a good option to try first as it opens the valves 100%. After that you could do a midpipe to make it louder.

I have Dahler and it’s been no problems. But I think now everybody getting SST because it does same thing and it’s cheaper.

Congrats! I have the SST valve controller. It’s a very easy DIY (plug ‘n play). I’m completely content with the exhaust sound at 100% open. I’d start with a valve controller and go from there. It comes with a remote. I believe the settings are 100% open, 50%, and stock. I normally have it at 100% open unless I’m cruising on the freeway, as it drones during cruise. The search function is your friend.

Thank you for help. Is valve controller enough to get sound at least like X3M comp ?

I cross shopped the X3M before pulling the trigger on a Macan GTS but I don’t remember the X3M much. The internet is your friend. Try YouTube.

I went resonated single midpipe and while I plan to add downpipes in the future, it's perfect for adding some reasonable volume with zero downsides. I went with MAD which fits perfectly and is a good value.

With the SST….the website says there are options for Sport (fully open), Comfort (fully closed). But do they have one that simply puts it back to stock (sometimes partially open depending on rpm as it’s intended from the factory)? In other words….are there 3 settings….Sport, Comfort, and Stock?

Resonator delete with valves tied open. It’s cheap, reversible and greatly improves sound

Congrats on the new car! Thanks for making this whole thread about making the car “lauder”, this hasn’t come up yet.

There are 4 settings. The other one is 50% open valves.

Is 50% valves open louder or quieter than stock in Sport+ mode? Trying to figure out how wide the valves open in stock configuration in Sport+
