I have their splitter and side breathers. Looks great.

Have they released the side skirts?

I kind of want the flat blades, not the whole replacement piece or the OEM style with the turned up fin

Can someone start making knockoff mid-pipes so we can avoid paying $300/mandrel bend to the current vendors?

I'm having a real hard time justifying paying $1600+ for an x-pipe that still requires me to cut my existing piping and letting a muffler shop weld in something to my $90k car just seems cheap.

These should be $400

I'm with you on that. Pricing is insane. Im tempted to find another full stock exhaust just so I can cut the 2nd cats out of that and keep my exhaust in one piece.

There is OEM European and OEM US. One has an angle and one doesn't, kies motorsports covered that in one of their videos

Especially when they dont really offer much of a gain for the $$ per HP. But, you can go to a decent muffler shop and have them just make you set without an xpipe. Or with, depending on their welding ability.

I ordered the side skirts and rear winglet. Took 11 days from when I ordered to it arriving at my door, the fitment is 95% had to use a little 3M tape
To get the front top of the side skirts to sit flush against the paneling. The finish on them in some spots is kind of dull and there was one imperfection in the west on one of the rear winglets. For the money I would say it was worth it and install was super simple.

I couldn't live with it. I ended up ordering the OEM stuff.

The front lip has still managed to evade me. I ordered it 3 times, and its been refunded twice, and was a nogo for a 3rd.

This is just one reason why I decided to forgo the M Performance front lip. The other reason is:

Price - $2,700 total to have the lip installed at port is a lot of money for something most likely will end up scraped/damaged at some point. That and I'm not too keen on having betalink adhesive used as part of the install process. May end up being problematic getting the old lip off if it ever needs to be replaced. In addition, my CA told me that it could add 2 weeks to the delivery process of my new G80.

The other option would be ordering the OEM lip ahead of time through my dealerships Parts Dept. (at full MSRP) and have their body shop install for approx. $200. Ends up to be the same total price as getting it installed at port, and most likely the install won't be as good as VDC.

There're a couple of aftermarket options out there currently that look very similar to the OEM lip, and for half the price to boot, so I think I'm going this route next Spring and just install myself.

True. Although, I may just opt to try to be as careful as I can with it, because I just want to make sure the weave matches the stock carbon inlets. Im on the verge of just ordering something aftermarket, though. I finally received my email from Schmeidmann, this morning, after I emailed them, Monday, about seeing if they could get the part for me.

About installing the part with betalink. With the OEM front lip, I think Betalink is the only way to go. My whole car is PPFd, so, the lip would be betalink'd over the PPF. I thought the same thing about removing something with betalink, and i was reading up on it, and its removable without doing any paint damage. And when you see how they look, when they are installed, with betalink, from the VDC, nothing compares. Look at how tight it is, at the seams. It looks like its blended into the front bumper.

No doubt betalink provides a sturdier look, but I heard it's a major PITA to remove even for professionals.
I'd be worried on using it especially on a part that's so prone to damage such as the front lip.

In your case though, since you have full PPF it wouldn't be as big of a problem.
Are you planning on PPF'ing the lip too? That beautiful resin finish will look beat up in less than 10k miles if left alone.

Definitely getting it all PPFd. I already have the rear winglets done. I just got the side skirts, a few days before I went to Hawaii, so I haven't had time to get those PPFd. I got Covid in Hawaii, so, Im chilling until thats over. Then I will get it all done.

I'm definitely feeling better. I tested negative, twice, about a week apart, now, so, I'm good. I still have a little residual cough, but its mild. As for getting everything installed, the front lip is the thorn in my side. Trying to get this ordered from Germany. They're telling me they can get it, but it may be a few weeks until it comes in. Then they have to ship it to me, from Germany.

I wasn't aware that the MP lip inventory was depleted.
Have you checked out the 3D design lip?
I personally think it's gorgeous. Definitely OEM quality.

I haven't. I need to check it out. The front lip is probably the only one I'm willing to compromise on, because of the sheer nature of it just getting smacked off if you don't back into everywhere you're going. Especially when your car is lowered a little.
