Top Speed have announced a new colour for their 1/18 G80 M3 which is in Portimao Blue Metallic as well as releasing a M4 GT3 in BMW house colours.

An updated version of the M4 GT3 in BMW House Test livery has been announced by Top Speed which will be released in 1/18 scale.

I had the Evo X in gray too and also have the Hot Wheels still in the package.

Have you heard anything about the initial miniatures (I pre-ordered an IOMG one a while ago) 1/18 Scale Minichamps model

Apologies for the delay in my reply. No news I am afraid. Both BMW and Minichamps are very poor when it comes to release dates. The 1/43 versions of the M3 and M4 are expected in February 2022.
Hopefully the 1/18 will not be too far behind.

I finally received my 1/18 GT Spirit M4 Competition today in "all black" colours.

Whatever your thoughts on the actual car design itself, this is an excellent job done by GT Spirit and I am really pleased that they replicated actual mesh at the front around the kidney grilles rather than just plastic. Excellent detail on the wheels too.

Here are some quick photos I took (not the best I am afraid!).

I am afraid not; the GT Spirit (and Top Speed) models are sealed resin models.

The 1/18 IOMG will be made by Minichamps which will be die-cast.
I believe there will be two versions released in 1/18. One version is a sealed die-cast version (cheaper) and the other is a openable die-cast version (this one).

I spoke to a reliable friend in the trade and he advises that the Minichamps 1/18 should be out in January or February 2022.

Good eye (on the E24)! A few other Art Car models (Koons, Stella, Warhol to name 3) are inside the house. Norev M1 is in the adjacent display case.

I favor resin models, because they can get contour and trim details more accurate and detailed than most any die cast counterpart can achieve. That's about all I'm adding going forward. F90 becomes available soon, but I gotta believe GT Spirit will offer the M5 CS before all is said and done. That'd be the one to have (make mine frozen deep green)!

I do prefer resin models too so long as the shut lines are accurate. I find that the details are better and they also get manufactured quicker. It's just such a shame that BMW Munich are not fans of resin models and prefer die-cast models which fully open (which is good in itself but severely limits how many models BMW are prepared to produce / sell).

I'm looking forward to the GT Spirit M5 too! I am sure it is just a matter of time before they announce the M5 CS.

The Norev version was good but GT Spirit's looks a million times better in my opinion.
