Is there anyway to put G80 automatic in neutral without the engine running? I did see a posting earlier on another thread, but they all circle back to switch on drive-ready mode.. you can switch the engine off after your in neutral....

In a dire situation you use a 5mm hex to tighten one bolt near the trans oil pan. Tightening the bolt pushes up on a disconnect lever.

I don’t think later models eg G8x have the screw, just a lever.

In the event of a situation that the battery disconnect operates (separates the battery from electrical system) then you can not operate the starter.... I am going to assume that holding down on the start button creates enough pressure in the transmission to allow the "parking lever / dog" to disengage. Perhaps related, I have a 6 speed and I cannot figure out how to disengage the parking brake without starting the car. The manual refers to drive-ready mode. Any secrets on releasing the brake without the engine running?

i'll tell you a secret i figured out myself

triple press the start stop button without pressing the clutch this will put you into diagnostic mode

then you can disengage the parking brake and the car will roll
