Hasn’t anyone devised a little strip of rubber glued to the wheel barrel on an angle to push any pebbles out of the way of the brake caliper? I’m thinking of a 2in strip of windshield wiper blade, or similar.

Considering that wheel balance is sensitive to the ounce, I'm not so sure that would work.

It might not cause a problem at all, but you never know.
