Advice needed - Are these normal starts?

I’ve had a couple of long cranks (not on video) or starts like the ones below on video when the car has been hot.
600 miles, no mods.
No codes or faults according to dealer. Could not replicate it when I brought it in.

I’ve seen the long crank thread…

Haven’t captured the long crank on video unfortunately. Just the stumbles.

Indeed, somethings sounds off - but it's like it's just the first crank or two.

Does it exhibit any other odd behavior?
How's the idle once you're warm?

Everything else is totally fine.
The idle is a touch wiggly but doesn’t seem particularly off when reading some other threads.

Yea. I guess I’ve got to push the dealer to figure it out - they kinda said just drive it until the 1200 and get some more videos but I’m reluctant to drive it if it may cause other issues.

Several folks have experienced long cranks after the car has been sitting for an hour or so but engine is warm, including myself, also <1000 miles on the odometer. My long cranks went away after a couple weeks and the dealership tried two diagnose but couldn’t find anything.

Other folks had a faulty fuel injector that was causing the issue. The fault injectors also fouled their corresponding spark plug. I’d see if a shop will pull the spark plugs to see if any of them look off. If so, may have a faulty fuel injector.

Yea, my dealer did pull the plugs and said they looked fine and were dry but I don’t know if they got the car properly warm first. I don’t really understand how these things work so I’m basically just trying to encourage them to do their job lol. They did seem genuinely happy to try and sort this out tho , just said they were up against a wall without being able to replicate. Now I’ve got new videos so maybe it will help them.

Are you in a warm climate or cold? On that thread seems to be more of an issue when temps rise and I do have my long cranks on the two warm days we had last week.

That definitely doesn't sound normal. In my 5k miles of driving a G8x, I've not had this once. Hot or cold. I would hound on them to track this one down.

The rumbly idle is normal though.

You think I can keep driving like this until the break in or is this a problem short term. I did ask the foreman if it was a leaky injector whether it would cause problems. He said the car is too smart to let that happen and even if it was leaky it’s not a problem short term. Idk.

NO - this is not normal at all. This is a leaky injector, something a lot of us had and got fixed.

Insist the dealer pulls the spark plugs ASAP.

So that’s the thing. They said they pulled the plugs and they were dry and looked fine….i guess maybe they just haven’t fouled yet since it’s so new??

Just noticed you're at 600 miles, so yes - the plugs are still new and haven't been soaked that much obviously.
It's a good sign they actually are ready to diagnose this, now need to check the injectors - they have a tool for that.

Appreciate the insight man. This is aggravating of course but if the dealer is helpful it will be all good.

Long cranks seems to be fuel injector issues.
