Upsizing the tires calmed down the M2C. I was running 295/19 rears on mine (totally blanking on what I had on the front) and it made a huge difference. Stock, that car was made to make Chris Harris smile while drifting around a track, not for use as a daily.

something. I recommend "Off the record" Smoking Tire Podcast has a discount code. And OP, its not easy to keep this thing under wraps. Use Waze and get a radar detector.

I think that would make it less snappy but wouldn't improve the bounciness on almost all roads... the rebound was extremely poorly setup for that car imho. It was almost scary to drive at times.

For me, at least, my M2C ownership was a slow decline in satisfaction with the car. I'm very thankful that my M3 experience hasn't followed that pattern. |

The few times I’ve been to Jim’s it was mediocre at best. If I’m down in that area I’d rather walk down the street for a slice or two of Lorenzo’s pizza.

Definitely try Angelos for a steak Sammy. Emmy squared for pizza. Try the Colony. It’s pepperoni/ pickled jalapeños with hot honey. The burger there is also ridiculous. Bon appetit fellas

Oh yeah first thing I did man. All those hours of listening to Matt Farah whine about new cars have paid off somewhere around $20

Finally something Cane and I can agree on.
I usually spend a week in a time share in Fort Lauderdale and I95 scares me. 80 is about average here in SoCal, but not 90+ in the kind of traffic typical between FL and Miami.

Situational awareness and right times and places
There are times and places where one can sometimes use these cars, but even that does not work all the time. My last speeding ticket was in 2002 (not a typo, I have only had 4, and look at a sampling of what I have driven below). I was doing 140 and the third vehicle I encountered on the 118 mile back road between Tonopah and Austin Nevada was a highway patrol car with instant on radar.
It helps to know how to talk to cops (retired attorney, but never tell a cop that; act and talk like a judge, confident in a low, slow, and respectful voice). I managed to get written up for 80 in a 70 and had the option to go to traffic school in Tonopah to keep even that moving violation off my record. The only free legal advice I ever give is, when something bad happens, shut up and talk to a legal specialist ASAP. My on legal experience is mostly in the Federal Courts (nobody cares how fast you drive on the reservation, except in a school zone) but my son-in-law works for one of our SoCal DWI mills and he has some real stories to tell.

+1 on this....
Of course past results are no indication of the future, but in my experience, the best thing you can do with cops is be passive, don't outright deny anything they are saying, but don't admit either. For example, when officer says "do you realize I got you on radar going 100 mph", don't say "no way, you're crazy, F you, etc etc" say "ok wow I'm sorry, I didn't realize how fast I was going, I wasn't paying attention and was doing/thinking x. Obviously if I was going that fast its not a good idea and I should be paying more attention." 90% of the time, they are so surprised that you aren't arguing, they will talk it over and let you go. |
