Currently on two waitlists for M4 xcomp since May. They both mentioned the allocation is expected in Aug/Sep. hopefully I won’t need another thread

I have been bugging my CA, since I have been #1 on their list since early May. He said there is only 1 build wk in Aug due to summer shutdown all of EU still seems to take.

At this point, will be happy if I get the car as a Christmas present.

I've pretty much accepted that I'm not getting the car this year. December is my birthday month and that was my original hope for it... but now I'm guessing it'll be more like February/March... .putting total lead time at 1 year

My birthday is in October and I just want the allocation as a gift

Btw my SA told me the allocation is expected in Sep and will arrive around Christmas. According to that, if you have the allocation in Aug/Sep, there's a hope that it's arriving before Christmas.

I've long ago lost hope... now I just prepare myself for disappointment and if I'm pleasantly surprised I'll take it

Most of this is tongue in cheek... .I've only been waiting 4 months. My heart goes out to the poor souls waiting for allocations for nearly a year.... I just hope that doesn't end up being me.

I'm getting no pulse from my CA or any dealer about expectations of allocations here locally. They are saying they have no clue when they will get any. No time frames given from any.

I think that's typically been the case... and in the past where CAs have been providing quotes for anticipated allocations, I believe they've been talking out their ass. In reality nobody outside of maybe BMW corporate knows when and how many allocations to expect.

Still waiting on a MY2023 allocation....

My SA offered me a MY2022 M3 Comp xDrive in SPY with Fjord Blue/Black Full leather today....I said no thanks. First it was a purple Jarhe, now a yellow 2022....come on man....

I don't take this as a very good sign that I'll be seeing my allocation anytime soon. Must be a lot of customers in my area willing to pay more than MSRP....what else could it be, especially if I was told I was first on their list for a MY2023 allocation?

I now believe I'm in the "depression" stage of grief when it comes to this car, and continue to kill time buying parts for a vehicle I don't even have yet....

Ah the last sentence…I feel you man. I found maybe we spend too much time in the forum everyday (it nearly became my top time spending app/website) which amplifies the anxiety and “depression”. Not healthy

I haven't bought any parts yet... but I have killed time by planning out my entire week for PCD (where I'll be staying, restaurants I'll be eating at, activities planned, the route I'll be taking home etc). I've contacted the nearby PPF shop about taking my car straight from PCD to get it PPF and tinted before the drive home.

I've also contacted a local photographer about taking some rollers and still shots of my car when it arrives. And have contacted a shop about powder coating wheels.

I just need the damn allocation and eventually the car. I imagine my friends and wife are annoyed about me moping about it everyday

For several months in the past year, allocations came in within the last 10 days of that month but it has been really chaotic.

Been Waiting since December 26th 2021 In houston Tx, 3rd on the order bank my dealer hasn't received any allocations at all for M models, Has anyone in texas received any allocations for M models is the question???

This whole ordeal and how BMW has dealt with it has really deteriorated my image of the brand and its dealership network. As much as I love the product, the process of ordering and waiting for this car has really turned me off to the prospect of buying another BMW in the future. Maybe they're trying their best in these uncertain times, but they need to do better. A huge part of why I haven't jumped ship to another brand (RS5, E53 Coupe, Cayman GTS have all been on the radar) has to do with the fact that the easiest way to capture the $11k or so in equity I have in my F82 lease is by staying with BMW, especially if I don't want to go through the hassle of buying out the car at a $5k higher payoff and offloading it.

I'm about as close to my wit's end hearing about people who ordered their cars months after I did get their allocations, seeing prices and rates go up and my trade losing value, while CAs are unapologetic, unresponsive and completely apathetic. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad for all those of you who did get your allocations but man is it a shitty feeling to spend $100k+ this way.

Sorry for the rant. Definitely helps to vent on here though.

Placed a order for a rs5, came in 2 weeks ago but i didn't take it i want the M3 but sorta regret waiting this long and should've taken that car home but as of now they bumped the price 20k plus the msrp

I'm so disgusted with this "buying experience" that even when I finally receive my allocation, then down the road actually take delivery months later, the anticipation & excitement waiting for this vehicle is already gone.

Don't get me wrong, I still want the car, but this whole cloak-and-dagger buying experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and all I want to do at this point when it's finally time to sign on the dotted line is just jump in the car and leave the dealership as fast as possible.
