Absolutely awesome car – Congrats!

Getting mine in the same spec before the end of the week. Can't wait!

Quick question: Why did you remove the red stripes before installing the PPF? Is the red stripe material (vinyl) creating an issue with PPF install/durability?

Two reasons really - the ppf transition from gloss to matt will sit under the red bonnet stripes (when installed). But also I have always preferred the ppf to sit under decals rather than on top.

Thanks for the insights. Never had to deal with decals in the past, so this is really helpful. I agree with you that it makes perfect sense to use the stripes to hide the gloss/matte PPF transition. Probably makes the gloss/matte transition more resilient.

Do you mind sharing with us where you sourced the replacement red stripes (OEM or aftermarket company, with product #s)? I suspect many CSL owners would like to follow your lead/example on this. Cheers!

Looks fantastic!

I’m getting excited since mine will be here soon.

I will also do the same with the PPF but may just have them PPF over the red so they don’t have to reapply that.

Are the M-Performance side skirts the same as the standard M4 or are they CSL specific?

The M performance ones are actually a metal addons to factory rubber, and do quite good job of keeping the grip, more so than the factory setup. I was just shocked they didnt include in this car, which is supposed to be the halo M for this generation

good idea with the stripes. I may end up doing this too. I kinda like the hood without stripes and the sides with the stripe. congrats!

They are listed on the CSL parts system but I believe they are the same as the normal M4. Parts I have on my car are...

My M4 went back to Topaz for the complimentary check up of the PPF this week. They also fitted the replacement red bonnet stripes (originals removed for PPF) and installed the BMW OEM M Performance carbon side vents.

The M4 CSL comes with black plastic side vents near the front wheels which should have been carbon in my opinion. There is no M4CSL part available so I purchased the normal M4 carbon vents and Topaz transferred the red M4 CSL badges. Really pleased with how they turned out...

The car at Topaz ready to leave:

Absolutely love this thing - words cannot express how good a job BMW have done.
