Yes. Sottozero 3's. 275/35-19 up front. 285/30-20 in the back. I'm still in the break in period, so haven't really pushed the car, but they feel firm and responsive in the dry. It's also been pretty cold since I swapped wheels/tires with my summers, so that probably helps. Surprisingly, I haven't noticed much road noise from them. I've been swapping winters on my Audi for years. Have run Dunlop and Michelins for winter and they have always been noticeably louder than my summer setup. The Sottozeros are pretty quiet. Maybe because they are new.

I ordered a set through forum sponsor EAS. Worked directly with Kevin @ EAS, and he was awesome. Mine are the matte graphite flow formed version, with those same Vred. Wintrac Pro tires. They should ship out to me this week.
Assuming they still have the wheels in stock, it's a few days for VMR to machine the center bores to spec, and then with mounting, balancing etc., I was told appx. a week to ship out. They were in stock when I ordered early last week, wheels and tires. I also ordered a fifth, with an inexpensive Kumho tire, to use as a spare for long trips. Kevin hooked me up. |

Got the OEM set up fitted tonight in BMW. Have to say the service in BMW Manhattan is really excellent. You get what you pay for in this case. The $80 to swap the wheels was money well spent. They wrapped the wheels nicely and fit them in the car. Well worth it given my time constraints

Is 8.5 ET20 too small for a squared winter setup?

Are tires like the Michelin Crossclimate 2 something to consider for M3 for the winter?
I don't need heavy snow capabilities as I'll drive something with AWD and dedicated snows on those days. What I really want is something that still has some performance for the majority of days that will cold and dry. And something to get me through some modest snow/slush. Other high performance all seasons that I've tried have been disappointing even with the slightest accumulation. https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tir...-crossclimate2

Michelin AS4 or Continental DWS 06+ are better options as they'll have better performance in the dry and wet. I'm not sure they make a the Crossclimate tires in the the 19/20 sizes.
