So ceramic coating, ppf and hand wash only is low maintenance for you?

I'll be honest, it's growing on me. From certain angles, it's amazing. Others are a little dull and boring. Looking forward to seeing more colors that shows its aggressive lines

Love the colour but no matter how much I try that front end just kills it for me. Those wheels kinda suck too.

I found the best way to clean the paint is by hand free car wash. You should not rub the paint. Either air dry or gently dry with a regular towel ( I was told not to use microfiber). I spent $300 for a layer of ceramic coating and It's worth every penny. it's give extra protection and and you don't need to dry the car after the wash.
Repair is the different story. I have a friend with a frozen grey M5 and had to repair the fender after he hit a deer. He had to send the car to a special shop, but his insurance picked up the tab. Bottom line is if you have a good insurance, don't worry about it.
If you can afford a M car, I think couple of grands for frozen paint would very well worth it.

If you see a M car with frozen paint in your rear view mirror you get what I'm talking about!
You can ceremic coat a frozen paint? I am ordering a frozen white m5, I was thinking about that option, but thought it is not possible, please tell me more! Thanks

I mean I like it, but I really, I mean REALLY hope this isn't the direction BMW is going with the grilles.

I hope so. The g20 front end on that would be so pretty. Adding an 8k paint job and $20k in performance parts to mask the awful front end is stupidity at its finest. Still an ugly Ass car

I agree. The frozen colors look great on this body style. I still wonder why no photographs are showing up of non-Comp models.

Nice combo

Nur sure if its just me, but the front wheel looks just to small on this car and somehow makes the car look even more unbalanced...rear wheels look perfect.
Wondering if you could order front & rear to have same size..

I'm sure you can pay the extra and get 19's or 20's all around....

...or find someone on the forums who is willing to swap two 19's for two 20's or vice versa.

Frozen colours are great - but only with a full ppf wrap.

Yeah probably works out if you want to spend some extra

However, just an opinion, M3/M4 won't be an option for me anyway for various reasons, those grilles just don't work for me...waiting what next M2 will bring, otherwise gonna move from BMW

I'd like to discuss the rear end. It looks like BMW designers needed more ground clearance in the back so they pushed the rear bumper upward as an after thought. It reminds me of what they did on the new X6M. It just doesn't look right to my eyes. Why is the rear bumper sticking out and up much further than the trunk? I like the white color but never again after getting Mineral White on my X5M.

If you're normally one to detail the crap out of your car post wash (e.g. dry, wax, sealant, etc.) making sure you get the gloss paint to shine sans any water spots, then matte paint would certainly seem low maintenance. Since the paint isn't reflecting as much light, you won't notice those sorts of deviations as much and a quick blow dry would suffice on matte where it might not have with gloss.

The issue is, the people that put this much care into their cars are also the ones to fuss over small scratches in the clear coat, "swirls", etc., and you just can't fix those in the same manner with matte paint.

There's a difference in both width and diameter of the front vs rear wheels, so I don't think swapping would work out too well. I mean I suppose it may aesthetically with some spaces added to the rears, but for actual driving/traction/cornering purposes, there's a reason for the staggered setup.
