this is immaculate no wonder a stage 1 m3 x drive was dead even with a 911 turbo s on car wow that he uploaded today

The m3 tuned kicks ass. That said, bmw will stick the warranty up your butt.
Have had both tuned m3 and 992 turbo s. The turbo s costs over double. However its another level of car. Stops better (like zero comparison), handles better (again chassis no comparison), looks better, feels better, sounds better, and u dont have to tune it. But if u do, its a supercar killer. Its still the drag strip king
Bmw wins in price and actual usability tho. If u have only 1 car and budgetary constraint, the g80 x drive is unbeatable. Period

The 992 Turbo is only 2.5% faster on the Nurburgring. At a local track I'd be happy to take on any driver who's in a 992 TT if I am in an M3, as it seems the higher the price, the less likely they are to push it to the limit.

I'm acknowledging the 992 def has a higher upper limit, but I think its rarely experienced in the real world.

I said both are great. Once u get into that level of performance 2.5% takes alot. However i know plenty of m3 guys that drive like weenies and plenty of turbo s guys that drive crazy. And vice versa. I dont think you can make that assumption

Where I live there are very few high end cars at the track, so finding someone who takes a Porsche to the track and knows how to drive is very rare.
The problem is that my track buddies would say the same thing about most BMW M owners, in that good drivers in a lightly modded Golf R could do the same to them.

I appreciate that in a larger city where high end cars are much more common you'd expect to see some driven very well.

Re times, I agree with you if its the same driver in the same car. 2.5% is 1.5 seconds at my local track, I'd hate to tell you how much its cost me to make my track focussed Mini Cooper S 1.5 seconds faster!

Also, don’t let the 992 turbo s official lap time trick you to think it’s not that capable on track since the lap time is done with the horrible P zero lol. With a set of cup 2r the bone stock turbo s is as fast as a 991.2 GT3RS on track, but we are getting off topic rn it feels like we are on Rennlist lol. The fact that we are comparing the G8Xs to a brand new Turbo S already shows how insane the G8Xs are.

Stock vs stock theres no comparison. But for like 2000$ i was running 10.4 on my g80 which is wild. Sub 100k, with tax. That said paper racing is one thing. But with my stage 2 turbo s cab make no mistake i would lap myself driving the g80 running full bore with ethanol, no question. Is it worth the extra? I have no idea. But ur absolutely right about how high the level of g80 performance is. I have no skin in the game but still visit the forum because its awesome and also still lust for a hotter m3 setup (ie CS) because its so good.

I've a huge amount of respect for the 911 Turbo S, if we see the G80 as a giant killer to cars which cost more, the 911 Turbo S is the same, only to supercars twice its price. The fact it can carry 4 and daily driven makes it even more superb.

My comment was really just to point out that a decent driver in a good car will beat an average driver in a better car. I think we all know that though.
My post was not to degenerate any Porsche, they are the epitome of drivers cars which do the "all round package" better than anything.

Nice you ran at light speed. I'm sure time has stopped running this fast.

No, only option I have enabled is Custom Launch Control with -5% launch torque and 0% torque scaling. Everything else set to stock, including downshift blips/upshift reduction

Lol you have probably never been to Sebring. Half the guys I drive with there push their new gt3, rs, and turbos, to the limit.

I'm on a bm3 stage 2 e30 map with xhp stg3 too and struggling with 60-130 being mid 7s. I think it's my sunroof or bad tires 🥲

All you dudes who are tuned and running E, get some real tires for god sake. I don't understand everyone keeps bitching about bad times or launch issues. Factory tires are not good enough!!!!!!!!!

how could you be having issues with traction at 55ish mph or so when you do the hit? Is it that cold out where your at? if you referring to slip at a launch that doesn't play a role in 60-130 but does for 0-60 and 1/4 mile mph's.

BTW no one has yet to confirm what the carbon roof vs sunroof actually weights differently. Everyone just speculates at the moment. My guess is 50-100 lb. which is about the difference between a full tank of gas versus empty.
