Port installed HAS first impressions.

I got my 24’ G80 on 12/23. I have the port installed HAS at whatever height they set. I think it’s 10mm drop from port.

Love the way it looks. Really closes the wheel gap nicely. Especially on the front. I may have it adjusted down a bit more when I bring it in for the break in service. I added 12mm F and 10mm R spacers and the stance looks great.

Ride quality is firm. Maybe a bit stiffer than I was expecting. Even in comfort. But I don’t know what the stock ride is like. Totally liveable, but it can be a bit jarring at times. No scraping or rubbing (PS4’s). I haven’t really noticed handling quality, but it must be flatter in turns. I plan on some track days in the spring to really test it out.

Zero regrets, but just surprised how much stiffer it feels.

Are you sure the PDI was done properly and shipping blocks removed (if they hadn’t already been done and not placed back in when the suspension was installed)? Get under it and take a look or just look through the wheel well. Back seems high.

I can’t remember what spec they do at port. I know the max drop is 20mm. When I installed the spacers I noticed there was definitely more threads.

I also got the MPerf HAS installed at port. After 1000mi, I completely agree with this assessment. I dont have spacers installed yet though

The thread has more pics. But for reference, the rear in the OP pic does look higher. Though if he took off the wheels to put the spacers on, I assume he would have noticed the brightly colored shipping blocks.

The Port is "supposed" to drop by 10mm front and 10mm rear. But maybe there's variance...

Noticed you're in Boston. Congrats on the new G80. Are you in the MassG8x IG group? DM the MassG8x account to be added. We have about 60 G8x in it now and do meets, photoshoots, etc.

I’m in Boston but not really in IG. Is there any other communication with that group?

Does anyone have pics with the M Performance HAS at max low front and rear w/ spacers? I have a G80 that’s coming later this month and I’m getting the kit installed at the port.

I’ve had a lot of lowered cars and my previous F82 and 911 are both on KW V3’s. I prefer a pretty slammed car but now I’m hauling around a toddler so I opted for the more conservative route with my G80 build. I’m just worried that at max low, it might not be low enough for my taste. I know there’s another thread with a lot of pics but I’d like to see max low with spacers.

Front wheel gap looks great but the rear gap in the picture is bigger than the stock on mine…

I also got the HAS kit port installed, same build week as Adcampo. I live off an interstate that is quite bumpy due to a lot of construction and constant moving of where the lanes are with temp asphalt etc.. I was actually quite surprised on how compliant the ride is, I was slightly worried it might be too stiff, but it’s not for me. The seats really soak up some of the road as well. I would call it “firm but compliant”. I only have 60 miles on it. I drove it home one day, and straight to the PPF guy the next day. That was a week and a half ago. I did drive a 22 G80 RWD prior that had been lowered with the KW kit, so I had an idea. I’ve had previous cars lowered with springs that felt harsher. I would not classify this as harsh at all, just firm with quality dampening. I am also pleased with the stance. I will daily drive mine, so I did not want it too aggressive. I think at the factory setting it’s a good compromise that looks great in person.

I self installed the MPHAS kit and set it at 15mm. The wheels are 5mm offsets because I don’t like the wide look.
The fronts rubbed when backing up and turning right to the point it broke one of the cooler fins. So if you are going lower than 15mm and wider than 5mm it’s going to rub.
