Update:

I called the U.S. site today as I emailed again with no response. The guy I talked to said they put an order in for 20 of the EBC red fronts from England but as of yet have had no response on if they will be getting them or not. He was hoping by the end of the month they would get a response on if they will have the order fulfilled or not. He said best guess would be people might possibly begin getting them at end of April.

I don't have much confidence after talking to them and I really don't think he had any idea and was just guessing. I think I will call them back end of month or first week of March. If they don't have anything yet by then I'm just going to cancel my order and get one of the pricier options. As others have said in this thread they've given a few timelines that never came through. So time to move on I guess.

Have you installed them yet and if you have could you give your experience with them? Any clunking like some have said with them and how is the brake dust and brake feel?

Update for anyone wanting the EBC reds. Once again they moved the backorder date. It was April 9th. I called EBC and now it's end of July lol. I cancled my order and will go with Carbotech or Isweep. Really sucks I have to shell out an extra almost 300 bills but if you can't get the reds you can't get the reds. Funny thing is as I was looking at a few different sites that sell the EBC reds and some vendors actually have them onsale lol. I mean really? These things have been backordered for like over a year. Oh well. Time to move on.

Yea this is ridiculous....I put in my order Feb 1st: was told would ship March 9th, April 9th, May 9th, now June 9th!! I called EBC directly and they told me July 9th!! They also told me demand isn't huge for these so then what's the hold up?!

The demand for EBC's Red Stuff is substantial, but due to their inability to fulfill orders, many customers are either canceling or waiting for the parts to be in stock.

Consequently, this situation affects EBC's production strategy, causing them not to prioritize manufacturing Red Stuff in larger batches, which further prolongs the wait time and delays the estimated arrival dates. This, in turn, results in even more cancelations. It's a cycle that will continue to worsen unless EBC decides to produce a sizable batch and subsequently realizes the true extent of the demand.

With many more customers having squeaking OEM brakes, they should realize they are losing money by having extended backorders.

If a customer swaps to Isweeps, even though they are more money, more reviews go out and EBC loses more in the long run. Kind of sad really.

"Thank you for the email, we currently have 11 sets in-stock we received a shipment of this part number Friday of 23 sets and have already started shipping current backorders."

Definitely post your results once you get them installed guys. They are definitely much cheaper in price than the competition and if results are as good as them it'll give people a great option without breaking the bank.

Wow, I was sure this was never going to happen. They were added to the EBC catalog almost 2 years ago and just now released. Great pad for a low dust / performance compromise that's reasonably priced.

Won’t be able to tell you results as I no longer have a G80 with standard brakes. I specced my current car with CCBs, but I’ll be sending these to my cousin and will see what he says.

We've completely run out of the EBC front brakes.

Some orders managed to be fulfilled, but not all. For the orders that didn't make it, we've already processed refunds.
The remaining orders are set to be shipped in 3 business days.
