Well they are actually lighter than the standard wheels. If that really matters is up to the buyer. The looks is all subjective of course.

Glad they are making the M3CS and I hope I get to see one in person. |

Disagree based on the F80 CS, which drove NIGHT AND DAY better than a competition F80.

Further, I feel BMW decides to make something based on what extra parts they have left over. I was looking at the 22' M5 CS. Amazing car. The inside is is the older style still. So basically you pay the extra for brand exclusivity. BMW makes a car with less shit in it and charges you more. In the same motion, they use some of the extra parts laying around. Smart on their part. I hope it skyrockets in value. ZERO possibility I am paying 118k + dealer price gouge for something I can buy, with a few mods, to look the same. Cmon man. I will however let them gouge me for the G99 I will order. Those will be hard to come by will all the people ordering them. Right guys???? RIGHT??????

The G80 is significantly better than the F80 so perhaps it will not be as stark a difference. But it's too soon to tell, need to see the reviews and get it in the hands of owners before we will know.

I had a F82 and then F80 comp. The F80 was better but still missing something which I assume the CS fixed. Good luck ! Look forward to seeing real reviews of the G80 CS.

Maybe the G80 Comp is a better starting point, but I am pretty confident that there will be noticeable improvements beyond just 40 extra HP. I’d say if you are looking to improve upon the G80 Comp and keep the warranty with exclusivity and resale as a bonus, the G80 CS seems like a no brainer. For me, I need a 6MT in a car this special. The will be plenty of faster cars with better tech in the next 10-15 years, very few of them will have a manual transmission. |

I’ve been waiting for this car for at least a year now and I’m #1 at my dealer. We all know it’ll be fast… but will it be engaging is my big question?
Currently daily an CTR (and plan to daily the CS)- and I shit you not- the car is more 2x engaging than the OG M2 I had before. I don’t care what I drive, just as long as it’s fun and engaging. I’ve driven 997 GT3 and F430 Scud, and the CTR steering, manual tranny, and “feel” is the best out there south of a “real” sports car. Honestly would be unhappy dumping this car for another “numb” BMW (driven E36 street and track, E46 street, and OGM2/M2Comp street). Go ahead and scoff if you’ve driven one, but if you haven’t… do yourself a favor and try it out without bias. |

I had a 335i with the 6 speed auto. The only driving characteristic it was missing was a clutch pedal. I have a friend that recently bought a M5 Competition. He cried about it not being a MT for about a day. Once he found out the 8 speed auto still has engine braking and does full lockup and isn't the slush box of the 1990s he hasn't complained since.

You know how BMW will never end up like Cadillac? Because they are constantly replacing the people who like yesterday's cars with new people who like today's cars.
Before about 2018/2019 I wouldn't have touched BMW with a 10 ft pole and now I have bought 6 new BMWs in the last 2 years. With that said, stuff like the new EVs are pretty ugly so I may have a short run at this brand, lol. |
