I hadn't checked the support section but good to know I'm not the only one experiencing issues so hopefully they'll get it fixed sometime soon.

where do you guys keep the owners manual? It doesn't really fit in the glove box, when i picked up the car they had it in the bin in the right side of the trunk. Seems strange that BMW wouldn't have a designated spot for it, my focus had one.

The F82 was the same way. I kept it in the right side cubby section of the trunk.

It fits. Just don't push the manual in too deep, then it closes easily.

I like that the side trunk cubbies now have some depth to them. I can stand my window cleaner and detaining spray up now.

Also how am I supposed to accelerate quickly from a stop? Wouldn't I have to shift at high rpms going from 1st to 2nd? I would still run into the same problem of the gear stick being hard to shift into 2nd.
It'll just take practice. You'll get smoother over time.

Is this free PPF from the factory or did someone forget to take this off?

Factory, and they are usually trash. Hit up a local vinyl shop for something more substantial.

Why are they trash? I've seen OEM F82 PPF look damn good on 5 year old F8X's. I had mine removed in the beginning, but I fail(ed) to see a problem with the quality of factory placed PPF.

The factory PPF on my F87 came right off the first time it got washed. Was kind of surprised actually. It also seemed very thin. The dealer demo G80 I drove already had an edge lifting on it from driving in the rain and had a big dirt line underneath it.

Maybe calling it "trash" is not appropriate, but compared to aftermarket films from STEK, Xpel, and 3M its pretty weak.

I hated the film on the M2C and do as well on the M3C . . . so, is it just a matter of lifting a corner and pealing it off?

This is me asking beforehand, 'what could possibly go wrong?' . . . as to avoid finding out this shit comes off in little pieces and a 30 second project becomes a 30 minute project.

It is there for a reason, AVM. The fender flares are rock targets. Most folk that have it removed have it replaced with better PPF rather than just pulling it.

To anyone with the CF package, does it have mesh to protect the coolers behind the air inlets? Can't see anything beyond the CF inlets from all the pictures I seen.

Don't think so. The individual parts show a complete opening.

Yes it does, there's mesh and also a filter of some sort to protect debri going into the air inlets.

Shown on this video too:

approximately 18 minutes 15 seconds into video

Oh nice - thanks for sharing this. I'm going to spend a lot of my fall detail sessions pulling leaves and dead insects out of those ducts.

Hoping the removable plastic on the brake duct side is easy to get to with the wheels turned and doesn't require lifting the car.
