I can also confirm. Also, you can get map directions when you have the tach set in the HUD with the Sport display.

I also think (although haven't done it on this one) that you can download from Apple Maps to the BMW navigation after you get the directions if for some reason you prefer the BMW navigation map. I personally like the CarPlay map display and search functions.

Final note, if you hold the microphone button for a couple of seconds you get Siri and not the BMW assist, and can ask Siri to find things and get directions via CarPlay.

Sorry my apologies yes you're right. It is driven only by M mode and not driven by sport or sports plus mode.

If you search a destination on apple maps and choose apple maps to navigate to your destination, the turn by turn directions appear in your instrument cluster and HUD.

That's right only through car play. I'd imagine the same would be true with google maps and android auto.

I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but when you buy the car do they give you any coupons for accessories? Like I want to buy a sunshade and floor mats but if I get 10-15% off I'll wait until I get the car.

You can usually talk your salesman into throwing them in for free. I usually manage to get winter mats for free or at least they can use their own employee discounts for you.

I always try and weasel a coffee mug or a tshirt from them. I have been told that if you call and ask for weather techs they sometimes will be able to give them to you if someone has recently traded in a vehicle with them

I got a 15% off on any accessories with my M4C. Didn't really see anything of interest. I want M carpeted floormats whenever they come out. And an M jacket, which are available on the aftermarket for a lot less.

I want the projector door lights but don't think they have it for the G models yet.

They are available, I've got them installed. They are the 50mm part 63-31-2-463-924, my 2 local dealers couldn't figure out how to order them so I got them from IND.

the little cup to driver's left side is not deep enough to fit my bulky sunglasses case, but just the glasses themselves should be fine

i just end up keeping the whole thing in the glove box, fits surprising amount of stuff given no CD player taking up space anymore in these cars

I put my sunglasses case in the driver's door and then my sunglasses in the passenger cup holder. I obviously swap my regular glasses for the sunnies in the cupholder then. This is convenient and does not allow my non-existent passengers to bring anything that can spill in my spaceship.

Nevermind, I think I know the answer. They replace the standard entry lights.

On my M340i, there were "wing" like projections that I believe were from the bottom of the car. Is this not on the M3?
