Yeah full 9 part CT carbon kit with bits of paint matching here and there, I'm really happy with how it turned out

I've bed in the pads but I have not driven them spiritedly yet. In my past experience with the MX72+ on the M2C compared to the stock pads, is that there's less initial torque so the pedal is more linear, and that there's less brake dust. It's the same reason I ordered them for my G80.

I've been hearing (no pun intended) the system in the G80 does not sound as good as the prior F80.

Is it possible the factory sub needs time to break in?

It's the same HK system that's on the G20, and I suspect is very similar to what was on the F80 as well. I'm keeping an eye (ear?) on this upgrade option (subs + mids/tweeters; two separate products from BavSound), but will probably listen to the stock system for a bit first. My last BMW was an M240 convertible with the standard ("HiFi") system, now there was a crappy stereo system (especially challenged when top was down). Sometimes I wonder if, when people complain about the HK system, it may be partially because of the content/source they're listening to. Sirius/XM, for example, is highly compressed garbage and will never sound good. And even Spotify requires specifically setting for high bitrates to get the best quality, plus I think the wired connection is likely still better than Bluetooth, which some don't know about.

Anyway, I'll give it a fair shake and will decide after a few months whether to go for the BavSound upgrades. Tip: sign up for an account with them, since they advertise sales occasionally (just recently a 15% off deal for St. Patrick's Day).

I'll give the factory system a chance; I thought the system in my F80 was pretty good; no complaints.

I watched the video for the sub install and it was very easy to install. I rate my mechanical skill a 5.

As a side note I read reviews on the bav sub and I read it does have a break in period. So no instant gratification.

Fiiiiinally got my spacers installed, after being turned away by various shops for "liability" issues. Took it to a small tire shop, and called it a day.

Installed OEM carbon mirror caps. Shop was nice enough to bless me with a maintenance wash and ceramic coat the carbon mirror caps

In my area, it takes at least $50 to $75 just to get your vehicle up on a lift....

The shop I went to was small and didn't even have a lift, they had like a gazillion jacks lined up along the wall of their parking lot😂. Maybe that's why it was cheap, plus it's Baltimore.

I've only been turned away for using stud conversions. Most shops don't want the liability. Not doing spacers is one I've not heard of until now. Did you use extended bolts?

Just returned from the dealer (non-selling dealer) to double check that my shipping blocks were removed...no blocks despite M4 riding too high!! LOL

As a side, it so great having a rapport with my local dealer/service. I just decided to txt my SA to see if he could quickly throw it up on a rack and have the master tech check it out. My work is 2 mins away...I think we all BS more looking at the overall car up on the rack than anything else.

Yes I did, it took awhile for Dinan to get the spacers in stock, while the bolts arrived within 3 days of ordering. It's weird with the liability reasoning around here, the old tech from NTB used to love working on BMWs, it must just be new management and staff. I'm just glad to have those things installed now.
