Grigio Telesto Pearl G80 M3 xDrive Competition via PCD - Performance Center Delivery

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
After ordering all the way back in December 2021 (not as bad as some, I know), I finally took delivery of my first ever M car on Friday.

There are countless threads on here talking about how great PCD is and I’ll just add my experience to those voices. PCD is amazing and if you can reasonably make the trip down, you absolutely should. Every single instructor and member of staff at the PC is clearly passionate about what they do. I learned so much during our day there. Also, my wife might have enjoyed the handling course even more than I did! She was slinging the G80 track car through corners on her first few laps even faster than I was. Everything, from stay at the Marriott, to transit to the PC, to the food at the facility, is just top notch.

After years of admiring Grigio Telesto Pearl on F80’s, and seeing Sinjen’s G82 post, I went the next week and put my deposit down to order my G80 in Grigio Telesto Pearl, with Fiona Red full leather interior.

I was apprehensive about Fiona Red full, just because the photos typically make the red very cardinal red, and the dash look very overwhelming. After seeing mine in person, I couldn’t possibly have picked any other color. It really is more of an almost brick red in person, and is just the right balance of eye-catching but reserved. It pairs with the red calipers better than I could have imagined, and with the carbon fiber interior and red accents like the start button and paddle shifters.

Grigio Telesto is exactly what I hoped it would be. Clearly different than the mineral grey of my previous F30, and so diverse depending on lighting conditions. It can really shift from a very concrete colored almost matte grey to a much more reflective gloss just by the passing of clouds and the sun overhead. I loved Dravit and Grey Black, and was torn on the choice between these, but very glad I went with Grigio Telesto.

Only have cell phone pics from delivery day right now, I don’t think they fully capture the color, more professional shots to come.

Having never owned a car with this kind of power, I’m still getting used to the subtleties of it. My wife and I took about an 800 mile round trip to Raleigh this weekend to knock out most of the break-in period. Loving it so far. Very glad after lurking on these forums for years, to finally be an official member of the club!

Congrats, really nice combination all around. And PCD is a great experience. I agree re: Fiona, for some reason it looks obnoxiously red in some pics but in person it's a nice normal red.

Alright so I have a newfound love and respect for these 'big grille' Bimmers. Yesterday I was having a pretty spirited ride and a non-M new 4er gave me the headlight flicker warning that I was about to approach a cop speed-trapping. You all are madd cool in my book! Nothing but love. Oh, also, this build looks freakin' fantastic! Enjoy it. And welcome to the family.
