Convertible pics

I'm about ready to finalize my build after receiving my allocation for my M4, however I know my wife would prefer a convertible…I think a convertible would be cool for our family as well and my daughter would enjoy riding in the back more than on the coupe.

The thing is I don't like the look of the convertible as much and doesn't seem like a true M car to me. I have wanted an M car forever and now that I can finally get one, I want to get the one I want.

I have yet to see on in person, the convertible doesn't look bad but don't think it's as aggressive.

Figured this would be a good place to talk through it.

My car will be black with Fiona red sport seats and red calipers if anyone has pics of that set up.

Appreciate this community, better than my raptor community for sure lol.

The bolded statement says it all right there. Don't get it because others want you to get it, you'll only end up regretting it or at least not liking it as much as you would had it been what you really wanted.

Exactly what you want.. I had the same questions till I bought one.. i have started to like it more than my g80. The top down factor and ability to entertain kids /family and having an m car capability is priceless. Previously with g80 you feel content but nothing big for a passenger. Not to mention the looks are killer .. check it out

First time BMW have made a convertible variant of a coupe that I'd drive. 50/50 in the looks department, factoring in your other requirements = no brainer.

Do you have any side pics with the top up?

Just love how aggressive the coupe looks

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but…

The coupe is a stunning car - the lines are just perfect. The convertible is good looking with the top down but with the top up, it doesn’t compare to the coupe - it’s lines are not pretty, even with the soft roof.

The sedan isn’t a particularly striking car - I appreciate that it’s wider than a 3 series but it doesn’t have the same sense of occasion or beauty as the M4 coupe. HOWEVER - the practicality of the two back doors is too much for me to compromise on just for the looks.

The M4 convertible is IMO the most muscular silhouette that has come out of Germany in years.

I took delivery of my G83 a few weeks ago and I love it. I will daily it, living in Massachusetts. One thing to consider - the market for convertibles is shrinking. No C63 convertible anymore. I can't remember of the RS5 ever came in convertible guise in the US but you definitely cannot get one now. I say get the M4 vert now while you can. Then get the sedan as your second M car (or whatever you think is best). In a few years, there may not be an M convertible and you will have lost out.

Get the car that YOU want. Especially if it’s been a long time coming.

Personally, I would go with the m3 or m4 Convertible. Probably leaning towards the convertible as I've owned a couple of m3 sedans and an x3m.

As a sedan owner, my question would be how's the rear seat room? How old are the OP's kids? Just sayin'

Not a lot of room TBH. I have a 4 and 6 year old and there isn’t a whole lot of room for them.

It's a preference but never had a coupe give me the smile a convertible does when I'm driving. Especially a curvey road in spring or fall. I have IOMG. here a few pics for you. I wouldn't trade my g83 for the world right now.
