But Im jealous. And at the time of ordering, I had a Sonic Gray Pearl Accord, and a Sonic Gray Pearl Civic Type R. Which is similar to Brooklyn Gray with a lot of pearl. And although you have 3 cars the same color, theyre all BMWs, and thats a collection. I just bought the HOndas for a daily and because I liked the color. The Type R ended up being worth it, because I sold it right after I ordered my M4 and made $7,000 after putting 10K miles on it, over the 2 years I owned it. It was a good choice. Great choice on the CCBs as well. I love them, now that theyre broken in a little. The didnt seem to stop that great when they were brand new.

Sounds exactly like my color choices once upon a time.

My CCB's seem to bite pretty damn hard from day #1 though
The time I expected them to work better, was the first time I went 167 (M Drivers). Of course I was in Mexico, and the roads weren't great, but I expected the brakes to put me through the windshield, and I found myself yelling, "stop, stop, stop." Not fun. I did that a few times, haven't done it since. But they seem to be working better from 120-130ish.

Beautiful color. I had a f90 Nardom5 myself but got totaled.

How were you able to order a Nardo individual color? I didn't see it as an option when building a g80 on the bmwusa website. Do you have to call it in or go to a dealership?

Yes just an exercise in patience not driving it until the PPF is done. Not washing was so that the unwrapping and first detail can be done by me instead of the dealership. Car was washed as soon as I got it back to the shop. Just didn't want the new paint to be scratched or marred as a result of improper washing from the dealership. Because of this precaution, the car only required a final polish to remove some light water etch marks from being stuck at the port awaiting audio module pre-delivery. The goal is to preserve as much clear coat as possible and then protect it with film. Also props to BMW for their improved paint process, far less orange peel and far better quality than my previous F80.

Went through the same when I ordered the F80, was stuck between Nardo, Fashion, and Grigio Telesto. Decided on Nardo and then painted the E36 to match so I guess I'm committed now on Nardo #3! Congrats and looking forward to seeing Fashion on a G8X!
I did the same with my G22, and noticed a big improvement in the factory paint finish compared to the F32 we had

Car looks killer

These are my favorite posts to read, it's so great to see others who have such a passion for these cars and who treat them so well. It's a beautiful car, congratulations!

Congrats on the new car, but are we redefining "build" or did I miss something?

Definition remains the same, every build has to start somewhere! I find it best to show the whole process starting from the beginning especially starting with a custom spec individual car. Stay tuned for the actual “Build.”

That's a wonderful color for the g80. I haven't been a fan even seeing one in person hasn't changed my mind much. But this build has converted me. Doesn't matter much as I'm not in a position to buy one. Nice spec OP!

Long overdue update! After a lot of consideration and going back and forth on wheel designs, sizes, and configurations I decided on the Alpha One Wheels A1-23. They are 20/21" Forged Monoblock wheels finished in real gloss carbon overlayed face with gloss black windows. The carbon detail work on the faces makes for a completely unique look and ties in with the rest of the carbon exterior perfectly.

Tires are 285/30/20 and 305/25/21 Michelin PS4S and suspension is AST Suspension lowering springs. Big props to the AST team as the ride on these springs is perfect and the drop is perfect for 99% of applications. More updates and more carbon coming soon!

No new updates as of yet other than break-in service completed and VSC-2 valve controller ordered. In the meantime enjoy some pics of both Nardo M3's together! Hard choice every morning with these two in the garage!
