Congrats... I love Nardo. Your car looks amazing. I was on the fence between Nardo and Fashion. But I went with Fashion. I take delivery tomorrow.

Full Body PPF going down. All necessary patterns are modified to wrap or hide as many edges as possible. Air breathers removed and the line will be hidden behind the trim. Looking forward to the first drive!

Yes just an exercise in patience not driving it until the PPF is done. Not washing was so that the unwrapping and first detail can be done by me instead of the dealership. Car was washed as soon as I got it back to the shop. Just didn’t want the new paint to be scratched or marred as a result of improper washing from the dealership. Because of this precaution, the car only required a final polish to remove some light water etch marks from being stuck at the port awaiting audio module pre-delivery. The goal is to preserve as much clear coat as possible and then protect it with film. Also props to BMW for their improved paint process, far less orange peel and far better quality than my previous F80.

Went through the same when I ordered the F80, was stuck between Nardo, Fashion, and Grigio Telesto. Decided on Nardo and then painted the E36 to match so I guess I’m committed now on Nardo #3! Congrats and looking forward to seeing Fashion on a G8X!

UA_Chris Excellent color choice. I love Brooklyn gray. But it was always a touch soft, light & didn't have enough life to it (in my eyes). The Nardo gray is one of the sickest colors available IMO. Congrats man!

Can you tell us a bit about the differences in driving experience. I have F80 6MT and might upgrade down the line

Who did you go with for your PPF? I used WindowTintZ. Looking for alternative options in dr. phillips.

Will have to swing by UA to see this beast in person.

But Im jealous. And at the time of ordering, I had a Sonic Gray Pearl Accord, and a Sonic Gray Pearl Civic Type R. Which is similar to Brooklyn Gray with a lot of pearl. And although you have 3 cars the same color, theyre all BMWs, and thats a collection. I just bought the HOndas for a daily and because I liked the color. The Type R ended up being worth it, because I sold it right after I ordered my M4 and made $7,000 after putting 10K miles on it, over the 2 years I owned it. It was a good choice. Great choice on the CCBs as well. I love them, now that theyre broken in a little. The didnt seem to stop that great when they were brand new.

Sounds exactly like my color choices once upon a time.

My CCB's seem to bite pretty damn hard from day #1 though

OP

From one Grey man to another, I wish you the best! Great build. Love how you pay respects by tying in the E36 for Old school VS New school or how do I say it,

"intergenerational" nahhhh

"INTERGREYERNATIONAL"
