Beautiful color. Can anyone offer insight into the maintenance of these frozen colors? Nightmare?

Where do you find this paint color? I try to look for it on the configurator but it's not there

No wax no polish on this paint. No car wash. Hand wash with proper microfibre cloth and PH balanced shampoo. Dust magnet but when they're clean they are gorgeous but somewhat of a pain to maintain.

The maintenance really isn't nearly as bad as all the Internet threads hype it up to be. Cleaning is quite simple, and the paint is incredibly durable as far as I can tell.

You just need to use special products designed for matte paint.

The biggest "problem" is that simple scratches and such can't simply be buffed or polished out, as this would ruin the matte appearance. You're left with a costly respray of an entire panel. Or just ignore it.

Honestly the best G80 I have seen yet, and all of the M Performance exterior kit just adds so much to the car.

Yes yes.. controversial nose, but I am fully onboard now, I really love how aggressive these can be and this is the best example I have seen yet!

What an incredible car. I'm local as well and wish I could have seen this one! Debating ordering mine in Skyscraper grey or this frozen grey now... Also, really cool to see those carbon side skirts and winglets. Now going to inquire on price..

When you ask let me know! Getting this color as well. Color is too good not to get.

Go for it. 4 months in and when I drive my car with this colour, people still ask "is that a wrap"?

First wash today. My favorite thing about this color is the satin finish gives you very distinct looks in the shade and sun. Love the silver that comes out in the sun.[IMG][/IMG]

I think tartufo would look pretty sweet.

Yeah for sure. I've got two coats of ceramic all over and full PPF in the front. Needs extra care in my mind.

Greatm thank you for the info. I called to see what a full PPF satin wrap would cost to protect it and it was 8000-12000 which seemed insane. Going to call around some more and see what other pricing I can get.

Is yours Frozen Gray over Fiona red interior?! Can you share some more pictures, that's the exact build I'm going for.

I paid about $3200 CAD for bumper, fender and hood PPF and two coats of ceramic all over.

Here is the link to my ride with pics:

Hello everyone! Secured a G82 xDrive kith edition in frozen grey, plan on selling my RWD G82. Plan to PPF the entire car with matte finish, got a quote for $5k from a local (trusted) shop.

Truly love this color but sincerely concerned about maintenance/repair. I'll post some pics once I can get some. My car is currently at the port, should be at the dealership in a few weeks.

The maintenance is not a big deal in my opinion. A lot easier then the black rims! When it comes to repairs, we're all rolling the dice we won't need that.

Wouldn't putting a matte finish on it obstruct the factory matte? I would expect a satin type color to be a better fit, but I'm speaking without experience.

Also, concerning maintenance, can you drive it through a touchless car wash that doesn't apply wax (and only soap and water)? The idea of handwashing a car sounds ok during the first 3 months of ownership, but sucks during the winter.

Yes, you need a satin PPF on the frozen colors or it really changes the sheen. And no, you can't take it to a touchless wash, the soap will still have some type of fiiller like wax or sllicone in it.

Love it. You've got the g80 version of my g82. Same specs it seems. Same rims and interior colour. Love our colour. It's awesome.
