I used Racechip and the Jb4 on my G82; both were excellent and worked exactly as expected.

The jb4 delivered more power as I was able to use E85. Another important feature exclusive to the Jb4 is the ability to limit boost by gear and RPM; this is crucial for tuned rear wheel drive cars as traction becomes a real problem on lower gears.

No issues here either. Seems to work fine, I generally use map 6 as 7 gives me traction issues especially in the cold. I may try higher octane fuel and map 7 when it gets warmer out.

If you want plug and play, this is an easy way to do it. If/When I upgrade, I'll likely go the flash route, but I'm (foolishly?) waiting for the unlock to make it out of solely femto's hands.

Which octane are you using now with map 6?

91, 92 depending.

I do wish there was some window into WTF the car is doing/seeing, but I guess that's why the RC is so "affordable".

Map 5 worked better on my car with 91, smoother power delivery, and more consistent output. I went to map 6 when I started mixing a few gallons of E85.

I'll have to try that. I really felt like power got robbed in 5 if I recall. Almost felt too slow, but maybe I need to go back to bypass mode and get a taste of stock first.

I felt the same way, but after testing, what felt to me as less power turned out to be a gradual increase instead of the spike of map 6 which can trigger a quick traction control that gives the feeling of more power.

For me, map 6 on 91 was not as predictable. Sometimes I get a great launch, other times traction quick in for a swift second resulting in a lower output. Could be my tires weren't in the best shape

Cant tell for sure since Racechip does not datalog

Mike - you ever try E24 (13 gallons 93 + 3 gallons E85) w/ racechip?? Before switching to JB4...?

I think final is around 95 octane.

I have not tried this mix with Racechip. If you want to use E85 on a regular basis, it's worth switching to the Jb4.

Thanks Mike - yeah man. I went w/ RC because I really dont' want to mix that much (lol) and tune. Huge props to you guys that do and make real HP.

My rationale is that the S58 can clearly handle more boost (CS/CSL) and get you to an easy 550HP. Hence the RC. To me - my RC kinda mimics a CS/CSL w/ the added boost.

The JB4 is great on it's own, but if you want the real power from it you'll get a custom tune from the Mad Scientist. My Supra went from fun, to pretty fun to holy shit I don't get traction ever, fun....lol...

It's an excellent option if you want conservative power gains with the simplicity of install and reliability.
