I don't know why but if you have a really fully spec'd car it's highly probable that you'll be delayed. That's what my delaer told me. But, they've already wrote to BMW Italy to ask secure info about this (third) delay I'm experiencing.

Does this endless waiting sucks? Yes: ( .....it does. Especially when you already know that within few months, there will be the LCI version of it, and even if I don't like the new idrive 8 dashboard, it's a pity to pick up your car already "old" after an 8/9 month waiting.

To be honest, the "new" production schedule is for early december, so...it'll be at the dealer not before mid january. So really close to the LCI.....

Yeah, I have most of the options apart from Carbon Bucket Seats, Driver Assist Professional, and Carbon Ceramic Brakes. Though, this is not the entire picture, our markets are not high on BMW's list so they'll keep on pushing us and prioritize similarly spec'ed cars for other markets.

I'm not interested in iDrive 8, however, the UWB would be nice to have.

I called just now. My completion date is still 10/7 and she said she sees no stop sale as of right now. She also said she has no info regarding any progress through production. Track my bmw still no update and still shows production begins. I have no clue what to expect.

I heard the opposite, that BMW is prioritizing fuller spec cars. When I added a couple of options to my build, the car entered production within a day or so.

I completely agree with what you are saying about the LCI around the corner. I can easily wait 8/9 months. I just wonder if it's worth it. The price will slightly go up and there will be new taillights on the M3. Not sure if iDrive8 will be there of if there is anything else worth waiting.

I was orginally week forty. Then 42 then 44. I called today and they told me I have a chance of coming back to week 40. Yet I am still status 111. Anyone here still status 111? This is all very confusing.

Not to get your hopes up but I seriously seriously doubt you are week 40 as it would mean you need to be status 150 and with a target completion date of 10/8 which I just don't see happening as you're not even in status 112 yet.

I know what you mean. That's what I was thinking too. It doesnt add up. Well, it is what it is. Like everyone else, I am eager to get my car. But Im not mad about it. Thank you for your thoughts!

When I added Driver Assist Pro, my car was almost immediately moved into production. It could have been a coincidence, who knows.

I hadn't heard of UWB. Looks like a nice thing to have for security. What are the chances iDrive 8 and UWB come to the M3 in the summer LCI?

Assembly completed, per Genius agent late today. Come morning, I should see MyBMW site updated, if previous updates are any indication. Hoping it can get to Bremerhaven in time to catch WW Torino (departing this Friday for Charleston).

Edit: MyBMW this morning shows car is ‘dispatched from factory.’

I'm really happy for you guys....it seems that I'm the only one here who's facing another (huge) delay (other 8 weeks).

I've been told that after the 8th of october the production of the M3 at munich plant will be regularized, and maybe I'll be able to have a real production date..... but I don't know what to expect in the near future for my order.

In the other hand, happy to read that a lot of us are getting their cars. Enjoy it!

Checked 30 minutes ago, I’m currently “at the port”!!!!

Someone said the ship sails this Friday so I think my car is leaving the port Friday!

Hopefully everyone whose cars were completed makes the ship this Friday!

Awesome. I'd temper expectations for getting on a ship leaving this Friday. You'll likely be at the port around 2 weeks. Hope you get through quick!
