Just have (few) news. At least the 20% of the initial week 40 build schedule is postponed few days to week41.

This because they already known that there would have been just one shift on monday, tuesday and wednesday of week 38 (this week), so it's likely that those who still see "week 40" on their build status, will be produced within the 10th october.

But as of today, it' s difficult that a car due to be build next week will be postponed again. Maybe it's our time now..if the supply chain will resist a bit more.

My friend will try to give some specific infos about week 40 next week, as all the production was fixed until sept.29th. Now they're managing week 40 and 41 into the production process.

Just made my daily call to the genius. I'm still showing 112 in the garage and also 112 in their system. Schedule still shows week 40 completion so production should begin next week. I'm still hopeful!

As of yesterday, Genius said I was still Week 40 but this morning MyBMW garage flipped to 150 Production Begins status and I have a VIN. I'm hoping that a lot of this crew sees positive movement over the next few days also.

I started production on 9/21 , called genius they are still estimating completion by 10/7 but the agent today said vin has not been scanned since start of production

I'm in Germany so can't track online and don't want to call the dealer everyday. Just wondering….thanks!

Few days ago I emailed BMW Customer Service asking what are the options for us in Europe. Yesterday I received an answer that the only way is to call your dealer. Yeah… sucks in the XXI century.

Yeah that's what i figured too, because the usage of the word, it makes sense that way. So i definitely got bumped up about 2 weeks then. Maybe i did become a week 38 (from week 40).

I called genius just now but was put on hold forever so i hung up. I was going to ask them what the status is on my car now.

The website doesn't show any extra progress (still shows production begins). So i'm wondering if it'll show the extra steps like assembly, or paint etc. Or will it go straight to QC the next time i check?

I'll find out.

I hope i get the car by halloween. Or even if it's early november that's still fine. But the thought of thanksgiving or even later just makes me wanna go crazy.

That’s extremely optimistic and seems doubtful. If car is completed in early October that would be 2-3 weeks after completion. Are you in Europe? That’s possible if it doesn’t have to travel across an ocean. There’s a guy near me here in Milwaukee area and his car was completed 3 weeks ago and it isn’t even on a transport ship yet. Stop sale due to back up camera. Mine is supposed to be completed 10/7 and if I have it 4-5 weeks after that I’d be pleasantly surprised.

The Genius agent with whom I spoke yesterday was able to see how often my VIN had been scanned, even though the system hasn’t updated from 150 (production begins). Given it had been 8 days from when the VIN was assigned, and ~11 days from estimated completion (October 4), he presumed it was in the paint shop based on his experience. Next step will be assembly.

So next time you reach a Genius agent, BGM-M3COMP, inquire how many times your VIN has been scanned and about where in the production process that puts your car. You should be a step or two ahead of me, given your completion date.

And Bch53211, you should be a step or two behind me.

Yes I am located in Germany. The factory is about 3 hours from my home. Once mine is complete I would gather everyone’s on that build week is complete and prepped to ship.

I was told by the genius that same end date. The genius said as long as production continues with no hiccups my car will arrive at the dealership at the end of October. I’m in California

Moved to production begins yesterday. Called genius and they told me estimated completion is Oct 10
