So BMW came back to destroy the rear of the car after it destroyed the front? comical....

I think all this quad centered exhaust it's a distraction to stop people focusing on the ugly front grill of the 4 series

Fun fact: the e24 had both a tall, nearly-connected grill and center-ish exhaust

The 3.0 CSL Batmobile (and BMW M) is 50 years on May 1st 2022... Just wanted to mention that since there has been quite a few leaks re something special going on for that anniversary... (front-mid engine, transaxle etc)

Also note the kidney grilles shape and connected center 😉

I think the quad center exhaust tips looked fine on the M4 coupe spy shot. It's a very sporty touch for a sports car or a GT car but not so much for a 4 door sedan with the taller proportions.

A few years ago I predicted BMW would offer factory underbody glow and I still stand by that claim

Normal placement of the exhaust tips works better in my opinion.

The Alfa's design is incredible, agreed.

The original e21 3 series had a tall & fully connected kidney grille that looked good, as did the 2002 and e9 before it, but it still doesn't make the current one any less hideous.

I'd take the e21 (or the e24!) - actually, I've already owned 2 e21s in the past. Loved my 323i, which of course is slow by modern standards, but was a hoot at the time.

Not feeling the quad centre exhausts (unless it's on a McLaren or Pagani )

Kind of sum up this generation of M3 design - black looks the best because black color hides more design elements: that hideous grilles, now the 4 exhaust pipe in the middle...
