I didn't get far enough with em to know for sure, but our OKC dealership seems motivated to sell their new FBG car. If I get one it will be AW, but they were pushing hard to see what it would take for me to fo gray.

A new car showed up in BMW of Gainesville. Probably the last car arriving to the US. Also looks like Pacific BMW bought the unsold car from Competition BMW of Smithtown and selling it as a new car.

Despite what the documentation state there are zero helper springs on the CSL. Makes you question the press releases on special models as to the differences you are paying for. BMW seem to have an issue getting their facts straight. So disappointing.

That is disappointing - why does the marketing say that there are helper springs, if there aren't?

They typically have no mark-up other than their "fees" which are not regulated in Florida and are on the high side...

I purchased one of the last M2C's available in 2021 and it was a very positive experience vs. others that had a $5K-$10K ADM mark up.

They took off all the dealer add-ons but did not budge on the "fees" so in theory I did pay over MSRP but nothing compared to other dealers.

They picked me up at the airport, did the "reveal" video (corny but nice)...no pressure from finance regarding the typical "wheel protection" and "extended warranty"

Good dealership to deal with for a rare car

Eventuri intake system on… came way faster then promised! I must admit that it was humbling for me to install (way more difficult then I expected, could not have done it without the help of my wife and her dainty hands).

Sold my AW CSL (for various reasons) and it’s certainly mint at only 207 miles. Although I traded it through Florida, it seemed to get picked up (dealer wholesale shuffling) at a spot in NC.

https://704exoticauto.com/sale/used-...63az02pcm54651

Fantastic car (for what it’s built to be) but I’d definitely not pay more than original MSRP for new or used.

Not worth a video, but definitely more sound…slight woosh and a little diverter noise but nothing breath taking. Doubt it would show up in my iPhone video

Honestly, had a minor panic attack when a CEL came on and the car was revving up and down. I eventually realized I neglected to plug a sensor in all the way.

Awesome! Saw Evolve’s own car today the mint green one and it does sound good. Not sure it’s £3k good though, maybe it sounds way better at higher revs. Think I’ll just leave mine stock. It’s still sounds very nice in sport mode.

I have just joined this forum, based in UK and current owner of an M4 CSL. Probably only one of a few people that actually drive one as most are for sale with zero miles or sat in garages waiting for unicorn status.

All I can say is these cars are brilliant and there's no way I want it parked up.

Running in service is now done so it's time to get on track and explore further.

The press reviews in the UK are dreadful and there is not one that I agree with so here;s my view based on 1300 miles without going too deep and with some balance as a Porsche owner with many miles on road and track.

My CSL has the full buckets and Cup2R. To me it feels special, no problem with the seats and infact they are the most comfortable bucket seat I've had, only issue is the hump in the middle which prohibites left foot braking, no deal breaker but would be nicer without it. I drive the car on road in comfort for the suspension and full power for engine and highest setting for everything else.

The brakes could do with having more initial bite but will change that if it proves to be case after some track time.

Engine / Gearbox, it;s a beast and not for the faint hearted, feels way more so than the M3/4 competition, loads of torque and in gear acceleration is rabid, make sure the tyres have some heat it'll spin up in half of it;s gears. 0 to 60 times do not interest me, comparing it to an x drive is pointless. Nothing wrong with how it changes gear, gives it some old school charm, if you don't want the thump then lift slightly, I am not sat there thinking I need a dsg / pdk, this box works well.

Steering, perfectly fine for modern day epas systems, it is light, turns in really well and zero understeer, bearing in mind on the road only.

There's so many other things that make this a very special car and one that gives me a buzz as much as any of my Porsche;s, really love what BMW have done with this. Sorry I don't get comparing it to an M5, as well as an M5 yes but saying an M5 is a better car is very odd, they are made for different things.

M4 CSL is an animal and it needs taming haha

Welcome - agree with everything you said and I’m also based in the UK. Where are you going to go on track? I use mine all the time and have the same spec as you. Would be great to see them both on track together! What colour is yours?

Thank you, here's one no idea how to rotate it

Probably Silverstone, Bedford or Donington, depends where I can get on and need to dodge any rain as don't fancy the R's in the wet.
