Thank you very much.

How did you get to that number?

Months = 36
Miles = 12K
Residual =56
MF = .00093
MSRP = 95210
Selling = 95210
With "zero drive off" checked (capitalize all payments)
Acquisition fee = 925
Dealer fee = 85
tax = 8.75% california
disposition fee = 350

I get 1497 a month?

What am I doing wrong?

Correct. Your number is with taxes, fees and acquisition costs built into payment. I didn't know your taxes, fees and dmv fees so left that out.

Next question.

If dealer is willing to sell at MSRP. But wants to pad the MF a tiny bit. Do you let them?

It's a numbers game. MSRP plus an increase in MF is not getting a car at MSRP in my mind. They're charging a premium for the car, just doing it in a different way.

Would you be ok with paying slightly over MSRP but base MF? If not, then this should be the same answer.

It depends on how much premium you want to pay for the vehicle. Padded MF is basically dealer profit and can be treated as ADM.

You should answer that question.

Thank you gentlemen. No, I do not want to pay more than MSRP. And since I have 800 credit. I naturally want the best MF too. I earned it.

I better have a talk with my SA. I dont want any surprises when it lands. I am not paying that game.

I agree with you on this, with your great credit score:

MSRP and base MF

Depends on the dealer. Have seen people with top tier credit and the dealer still wants to mark up the MF and won't budge. Maybe it also depends on where you are located. S. Florida is terrible.

Braman Miami just called and wanted to “work” with me. Told him what I wanted on a $92050 MSRP M4 Comp.

Down: $5000
Terms: 7500m/36mo
Payment: $2800 (Yes! $2800)

Thanked him for his time.
Wow! Florida is the worst of the worst. I've had no luck at all. MSRP and base MF is all I want.

Anyhow, do you folks think the carbon package is worth it? I'm rethinking it. Not that it matters, I can't get a car!

Did the ballon financing at 0.9% for a 6mt base.

2k down and $800 plus tax payment. $27k payoff at end of 5 years….Willing to bet that a 5yr old m3 will be worth more than that so I should have equity if I decide to keep the car (or sell for a profit).

At those interest rates, I'd rather keep my cash. I'm all about leasing but the current m3 lease deals fails all kinds of "good leasing metrics" (1% rule)

How do you lock in the MF now if the car might not land for months later? Does the MF stay the same all year?
You can lock in terms at time of order or opt for new terms once it gets here, whichever is better.

It's the best. Did it for my 2016 M3. I had 0.9% on that loan too. Highly recommend BMW Select financing.

Seriously incredible deal here. If you can get some incentives and do this it's a no brainer.

Those were my exact same thoughts. I asked him again if he was quoting the right vehicle since the numbers don't even make sense and he assured me it was $2800. I guess he was trying his luck.

I told him this was just a tad greedy no? He got mad and hung up on me. Miami in all its glory. Make no mistake though, someone will go in and pay that without any issues. It probably won't matter if they could afford it or not.

I get dealers are not obligated to give discounts and by definition, they try to maximize profit, but no thanks. I hate car buying.

My 6mt m3 is about 72k. It's not in the 90s like what most ballers here get.

I did bmw select on my very first m3 purchase in 2011. I ended upside down on that. I don't remember getting much off MSRP and my credit was 700's then. So I'm not sure what happened. If I had to guess, maybe I racked up way too many miles.

But the leases now somewhat suck. I'm not sure if I want to just buy it cash or lease it.

I wasn't even thinking about the select program. Maybe I'll look into that.
