All you guys’ pictures are getting me way too excited.. and I have far too long to wait for my car to be this excited already 😂

I was finally able to secure an allocation for my portimao blue over Fiona red. I’m going with the 826M black wheels with red calipers for now, but still kind of torn on the caliper color. How do you guys feel about the blue calipers on portimao? Would the slight difference in color look odd?

IMO it wouldn't look odd just not as good as red, especially if you're getting red interior. The red calipers will pop more behind the black wheels.

Saw this at the dealer today. Looks nice. Also have a portimao with Fiona at a nearby dealer. Think I personally prefer the Fiona but both looked better than I thought they would. Currently have IOMG with orange on order. Maybe I should make a change.

This thing looks waaaaaaay better in person! As does Tartufo…sorry I didn't get an interior shot; it was quite brown rather than tan or beige. It was fancy.

Even though I do not get hung up on design architecture as much as many others, there is one small design feature I have come to consider makes a dramatic difference in the G80/82 . . . the front air intake CF inserts.

My apologies to anyone who does not have them, but the mesh inserts stick out like a sore thumb every time I see them.

I realize the CF exterior package costs some $4,700, and getting the front air intake CF inserts after the original build costs nearly as much as the entire package upfront . . . I suspect someone will come up with a product of similar likeness and quality as the OEM insert, but not so cost prohibitive.

In fact, minus the entire CF exterior package, one could reasonably argue a glossy black plastic insert to match other trim elements would look even better than CF inserts . . . and be MUCH less expensive.

That's my plan. Given the CF exterior pack still left me with the black side skirts, I decided to keep the black.

When I can get a reasonably priced front to replace the mesh, I will do it and call it a day. $4700 for CF bits leaving the black side skirts was too much to swallow for me.

Would rather get individual paint all else equal.

Edit: I'll also probably do some DIY PPF on the black bits just because those show marks right away.

The only one I've seen on this forum is Vic55's which has 825M in orbit grey -- you can find many pics earlier in this thread.

Thanks for sharing, yes these wheels.
I would for for the same spec if I go for this color.
The 825M wheels add more depth and contrast to the whole car in this color.

Honestly with a blue car I would be hesitant to go red, and would prefer orange or Tartufo.

I posted above with pics with the orange interior. Also looks nice but I'd personally prefer the red>tartufo>orange. Can't go wrong though. They all surprisingly worked better in person than I'd thought they would from the configurator online.

I think with IOMG, it would be orange>tartufo>red from what I've seen (haven't seen the red in person on the IOMG).

On the blue, I feel the orange detracts a bit from the color while it compliments the green. Just my thoughts after seeing them.

I have PB over Fiona red on order I love that "Superman" spec.

My 2 cents on tartufo: it is a very stately, classy interior color, but I personally don't think it suits a brash car like the G8X very well. I think it would be great in a 7 series or M8, but "younger" and sportier interior colors like kyalami and Fiona suit the G8X better.

I love the red and orange interior. I was leaning towards red interior with skyscraper or blue with orange interior. I am looking to get it next year so still have time!

The brown one doesn't look right in a sports sedan, I agree with another post.

That's my car 😅😁. Being waiting for this baby for almost 3 months. Picking the color combo on this car was just as hard as picking the colors of my first house lol. It looks sooo much better than I tough it would be when I build it.

Car will be ceramic coating in the next few days that's why still sitting there 🙂. Got there a bit earlier than expected
