Installed the 3 piece front lip from AKA Motorsports with Matt at Euro Haus here in Richmond.
Looks good now that it’s installed but came with no instructions, horrible tape and literally useless screws (they are the same length as OEM and we ended up needing longer ones). When I contacted the company to ask for instructions they sent me an unhelpful 60 second video with no instructions, just showing a guy putting on a fully assembled lip that was different than the lip I have. I pressed and asked more specific questions like where to put the tape and what I needed to remove and they sent me a random guys video installing an M Performance lip. I took them at their word and started working to remove the corner pieces one day when I didn’t have much time and realized you either need a second person to hold apart two pieces to access a bolt, or I could have figured out a way but it would have taken me longer than I had that day. I was talking with Matt at Euro Haus and decided to bring it by so we could throw it on the lift just to make things a little easier. Once we started looking at everything, we realized the corner pieces from AKA actually just fit directly over the stock corner pieces, so no need to remove the corner pieces after all. tl;dr lip looks great for the price but expect to figure a lot of stuff out on your own and get no support at all from AKA.

How did you mount the side pieces? I have same lip, ordered from AliExpress, but it is exactly the same kit. Got useless short screws and some two sided tape. Center piece fits good, but side pieces don’t sit flush with body where it meets with center piece, there is a small gap between them and bumper. I can push them up to sit good, but there is nothing to hold them up like that.

Do they simply rest against the bumper or are taped to it? I've seen a carbon lip with side pieces like that and figure it would rub against the bumper.

It is a very thin hard edge that goes against the bumper, I don’t see how it can possibly be reliably taped. It’s just two screws from the bottom that hold it, but that is not what was bothering me. It was just the fact that they install on top of original side pieces and protrude a bit, not continuous with arch curve. I might be mistaken, but I think original m-performance carbon lip fully replaces the side pieces, so all the surfaces match.

Yea the eBay/china lips usually go over that piece instad of being removed like the original M performance lips.
Here’s a few pics on the one I got from AKA motorsports. Fitment on the left lip section wasn’t great compared to the right. Had to use some extra 3M tape to make it look good. Overall for $150 lip it looks pretty good. |

Got the AKA Front Lip installed last weekend and finally got the car cleaned up. Apparently there are 2 different lip options, I got the one which required removing the factory side lip pieces. Aside from making up the instructions myself it wasn't too bad to install. They're pretty flimsy plastic, but didn't expect much for the price.
