BMW Ms are pretty good track weapons. You drive to the track, have fun, and return home driving. I have driven 2 new xDrive (M4 conv and M3 CS) in Sebring, with 100+ weather. Both had zero issues when 100% stock. I had brake fluid replaced incorrectly in the M4, and had brake fade. So make sure you have a shop who knows the right procedures.
You will find out the stock M compound brake pads don't last. With my M3 CS, I worn all pads in the first trackday, right after break-in. I m now using Pagid RSL29 that seem to be holding better.
With a better brake fluid like the Motul 700, and the pagid, I reached the point of receiving a "Brake high load, stop right now or you will die" message, but no brake fade. Some suggested removing the brake temp sensor, like people do with the F generation, but I like the safe guard. I had too much scary situations with brake fade in other cars. A cool down lap here and there should be enough, or a brake cooler kit.

In sum, you can race 100% stock if you want, but I would invest in brake fluid and pads.
