Will I be the only one ordering regular seats?
I can't justify several thousand for the carbon bucket seats as good as they look. So looks like I'll be getting the regular seats. Hopefully they're not too bad as I don't plan on tracking the car.
I just know if I ever plan to sell the car, it will hurt me in resale as most people will prefer the look of the bucket seats. Another disadvantage is that the seat colors look worse on regular seats. Look at regular Silverstone/white seats vs the same color in the bucket seats. |

My current allotment has the regular seats as well, although I’m strongly considering changing that.

I order also the regular seat. Sure the CB Seats look stunning but I will use my car also for daily driving and longer driving and I don't know how comfy the CB will be. Also saves a lot of money by sticking with the regular and they look pretty too imo.

I'm leaning towards the regular seats as well. I don't track the car and think the daily experience for me would be much better with the regular seat. The carbon seats look incredible but the bolsters are very aggressive.

may be minority among the forum but overall I see you as the majority I feel. a lot will not want to spend that money on seats or may want more comfort options the other seats bring, just my 2 cents

I see it rather simply. IMO, folks who plan on only using the G8X as a DD should get the standard seats for the comfort they provide. Folks who intend taking their G8X to the track, may want to opt for the CF bucket seats for the added support and weight saving they provide.

Regular as well. You're already paying for perfectly good seats. As nice as the CF seats are, no way in hell are they $3800 nice.

I think I'll get the regular seats. I cannot justify $3,800 for the carbon buckets although they look great and I'm getting the carbon exterior and carbon interior trim so they would be a perfect match. I'm sure they would add value when selling or trading-in the car in the future but I doubt it'll be anything more than $2k.
It will be my daily but I'm not worried about comfort as my commute is short and all I've heard so far is they are surprisingly comfortable. But I have young kids and I'm not sure how the carbon fiber back will hold up to all the kicking!

It's going to be my daily driver and I regularly drive 4+ hours (probably once a month) so I can't justify the carbon seats. The carbon seats look very aggressive and look amazing but I'm sure they won't be that comfortable. The regular seats were in the car I saw a few weeks ago and they were super comfy and looked great.

Regular seats for me. The carbon seats look amazing but I don't want them for daily driving.
