I am quite biased toward BMW as I love them all, but let's be honest, this is absolutely hideous.

I have no doubt though that many of us will force ourselves to like it.

If you genuinely do like it, I am actually envious of you.

I agree. I had no issues with the X7 grill, but this feels like too much vertical design. It does give it an aggressive, mean look though.

Umm no. Strongly thinking of a Tesla as a daily and E46 or E92 M3 track build. Rather than one car that can do both.

Anyone know what % of the world uses front license plates, and why BMW keeps designing cars ignoring that population? I don't think the first part of my question answers the second.. I suspect it's a large number that do.

Some will have to learn to like it, because leasing alternatives cost a lot more. BMW rents their M cars out for cheap compared to their competition.

For those generalizing, stating the hate is nostalgia are dismissing honest feedback based on their preferences. I LOVED the F8X platform when it first dropped. Could not wait to own one. I also loved the e92 platform when that was first revealed. This new iteration is just hideous and the rear end looks cheap.

Same man. I loved the E92 and now F82. I'm sure the G80/G82 will drive well but damn, if I'm spending $70K+ on a car it better look good in my eyes and this doesn't!

If I were more entrepreneurial, I'd develop a G8X bumper that just simply separated the grill into upper and lower pieces. That's it. OEM styled but no giant grills.

Damn, still not feelin it but the rendering looks accurate. Scott26 said this would have the most aggressive aero ever on an M car I think. But it just looks like the aero was constrained by the giant grilles taking up real estate. It looks like Sam the Eagle from the Muppets.
