I know guys would hit on women that they had done Traffic stops on for example. Dangerous proposition as you are a person in position of authority in a situation like that. But there is plenty of opportunity to chat with women when you're working and those encounters can work out well. There are women out there who like the police (same for lots of professions really, FD, EMS, MD's, Military). If you're LEO they know a lot about you off the get go, you're not a criminal, have a good job etc.

I don't think they are defunded yet but the city council is so far majority for it. When I said they were already defunded I just meant underfunded and extra money isn't flying around in their department.

If you were parked in a business and some guy walked up to you in just shorts, showed you the Libre reading of LO and asked for a ride over the bridge to his house, would you transport him?

Officer Byrd just did

Yea, I dunno, my uncle was a cop for like 8 years in the 80's and he claimed he got more ass than a toilet seat in uniform.

I wouldn't under most circumstances. In this climate we are being set up, ambushed, etc. It's just not worth it these days.

What was the strangest arrest you made / most bizarre crime or call out/response?

May be it even made you say in your head: "you jack ass" and if you could smack your forehead you would have done.

Most definitely the 14-year old girl who drove like a track junkie as I pursued her (...she took her parents car for a joyride). I was beyond shocked when I saw who was behind the wheel. She deserved a round of applause.

Track her down. Maybe she can train your other officers in the department for behind the wheel skills??

Considering traffic stops are inherently dangerous, let's see how that works out.

It will take some brave people to perform unarmed solo traffic stops. I know there is zero chance I'd want that job.

But if you've been in an accident, and insurance calls you, you just start making statements?

Want to buy some insurance from the UncleWede family of companies?

Murf993 and Sedan_Clan - take a read of this:

https://www.kiro7.com/news/trending/...AAH2TKMTEQ22A/

Now...the children escaped miraculously unharmed, but the suspect had to be airlifted after suffering trauma to his face and head in the "crash". Tell me, I think there's only one of two options you can go with here...either:

A. There is a God and this was a miracle.

B. Said trauma to face and head occurred yes...but after the crash.

I mean, I'm for option A, but I'm also ok with B if he was a trafficker. I think both could coexist quite frankly. But partially I want to hear that less than good Catholic Murf / Jim admit there's a God.

So that car has some pretty significant damage, so injuries could've been sustained in the crash. I've seen accidents like that where occupants walked away and other less dramatic accidents that resulted in fatalities. There are many factors......if you like the miracle explanation I'm good with that. As for the human traffickers injuries and weather they were sustained as a result of the accident or after I'm going to suggest the police reports attribute the injuries to the collision.....
