I have much better things to spend $3800 on than CF seats. Regular for me.

You just made the whole debate concerning regular or CF seats seam so simple. That was just the amount of common sense that I needed.

Same here. I don't know how easy those CF seats with the side handles are to get in and out of.

My last M3 I opted for the seat upgrade and they are not terribly comfortable for most of the everyday driving. These look pretty similar. Just turned in my build for standard seats for that reason.

Those buckets look very uncomfortable and gimmicky. This is a near 4000 lb car, if they were serious about making a track car warranting bucket seats it wouldn't be this heavy.

Funny, because all the reviewers so far keep raving about how comfortable the bucket seats are. I even heard one guy say "the standard seats are great and all, but the carbon buckets are the ones to get." I heard another say something about how incredibly comfortable and stable/supportive the buckets were. They don't really elaborate much on it...they just rave about them and ignore the standard seats.

I'm using my best judgement here to say that the standards are most likely going to be better for daily commuting and overall comfort. Maybe the reviewers are just knee jerking on how "bling" and cool they are and not really considering the long term consequences in normal every day living.

Do the ventilated seats have the adjustable side bolsters? I know that was an issue on the G30 and X series, adding ventilation removed the adjustable sides.

Good question! I remeber that on the G01 which is why I didn't get them.

I chose to keep the CB seats for my build for this exact reason. The fact that every single person on youtube who has sat in em said they were exceptionally comfortable. Ive never sat in seats with adjustable side bolsters. I was surprised to see it when the guys from "thestraightpipes" pointed it out with that button that inflates/deflates them.....or at least that what i thought was going on lol.

CF seats are difficult to get into and out of, especially if you keep the car long enough. I do plan on longer road trips (1000-1800 mile) and neither of my two girlfriends are enticed by the CF seats.

I can't stand the front end without the carbon and in Canada it's all or nothing. So I'll take the seats I guess.

I'm ordering the regular seats... I can't live without ventilated seats, lol. My wife doesn't like the CF piece between the legs either...🤷🏽*♂️

Not be be rude, but I think those who are heavier/wider folk might be ordering the regular seats due to the bolstering.

I might just get the CF buckets so my wife wouldn't want to ride with me
Maybe just show her the cost first and get divorced all together.

Regular but the carbon seats are sick though especially with the semi individual interior color.

Just google the reviews of the CF seats and you'll find that 100% say they are very comfortable so that should not be the reason, I do believe the reason is cost. I order my with regular seats but just called my dealer to change then to CF last week after finding out that they are 21 lbs lighter than regular seats so Ill be saving 42 lbs and I will be tracking this car once a month not to mention how beautiful they look. My color is Kyalami Orange. I also added the Full leather option because if you going to spend so much for this awesome car why not make it feel special inside.

I'd get them if it wasn't for the huge cost.

I disagree. There are definitely more practical things for me to spend $3800 on but I don't think any of them are better than these CF beauties. They will also make a massive difference if you ever want to sell.

Regular for me, ventilated is a big deal. Also, I have my doubts about long term comfort. But they do look cool .
