hey guys,
Just started to catch up on what are good options for a midpipe. It looks like i am close to a decision on Mad or AA. Is there any cutting of oem exhaust system requied for either of the AA and Mad resonated single midpipe? Does one install more simple than the other? (I don't plan to do a DP or axel back anytime soon so this is probably the only mod) Also, anyone know any good retailers to pick either of the midpipes from? (even better if there is a local shop in LA that do the sale and install together, but not opposed to a great deal online) Thanks! Jason |

Picked up the AA Equal Length from Mike due to the sound being different from the single. I personally wanted something with a different sound compared single midpipes I have heard. We'll see how it sounds once its on the car and I'll sell it used if I absolutely hate it. The price point of the MAD for a single is really appealing though.

Hey Folks,
When it comes to mid pipes, there are a bunch of great options on the market. But if you are truly looking for the best sound experience, this is it. We have designed our single mid pipe with an Equal Length configuration in to deliver the deep and aggressive, sound down low that everyone loves and communicate a high frequency high-pitched experience that helps the rather flat sounding at S68 have a more exotic sound characteristic up in the higher RPMs. Is it the cheapest system on the market? Not at all. But it is in stock and you do get what we believe is a much more pure and engaging sound profile than the other mid pipes on the market. Nothing wrong with going with a cheaper set up but if your goal is sound quality and there's no other option. If you just wanted it loud, then there are probably cheaper options on the market that might fit better for you. But for those who want the best sound, this is it!! |

I'm currently shopping the mid pipes for my g80....there has been ppl complaining about the rattling issue with AA Equal Length Mid pipes:
while some say they don't have this issue...It seems its a common/known issue with aftermarket mid pipe+oem muffler? I would like to go with single mid pipe to avoid this issue however still want to have the next level sound with dual mid pipe... Could someone share some insights? @mike@x-ph.com Also, does a valve controller make a difference or is it needed for the AA EL mid pipe? https://x-ph.com/dahler-exhaust-flap...emote-control/ Last edited by BigPaultheOctopus; 05-17-2024 at 11:46 AM.. |

I’m debating between the single PSI or MAD midpipe with a valve controller for my new M3. I wish the Mad was in stock but still may wait a bit longer for that one.
