when you have a rich husband with connections, there is no limit to what you can review, even the the newly born goat from Nepal.

I'm a millennial I do not view it differently. This review is a waste of time watching.

Where do you see 140k? By my estimates this one would be 120k, very reasonable

Maybe not an age, but there is income that usually goes with a ballpark age. You could certainly have that income at 29, but certainly less likely at 20.

I don't think she reviews cars well at all. Is it that she's a "hot" blonde that she has a following? Doesn't make sense how any enthusiast likes her.

I wish I was older and had money earlier to enjoy the older, more niche M... during the E46 M3 era, I wouldn't sleep at night thinking about these cars unfortunately neither I nor anyone in my family could afford one... now I can afford the new M3 without trying... and almost nothing makes me want one... I have an M2 comp and thinking about everything out there; nothing comes close to a used 911 carrera s...

I have no issue with using social media for promoting a product. It is how it is used for the M3/4 I have issues with. It is telling me I am no longer the target audience for this product.
What will you move into next? Can it only be a 911?

Nope. I see cars as an expendable commodity. I like the concept of a single car that does it all.

You guessed right. I have a 992 turbo on order for summer 2021 delivery. I figured if I make the move, might as well make it worth it .

This internet personality will get a lot more traction (based on looks, based on followers) than the 60 year old men who know what they are talking about. This is a sad but true statement. I have no issue with the design and while the marketing doesn't appeal to me, I'm not taking it as a personal affront.

Half of the members are behaving as if Markus Flasch went to their house and called their kid ugly.
No but he made their car ugly. Almost as bad

I suspect as the ICE age comes to an end, BMW will have to revisit their branding. And the definition of an ultimate driving machine may be redefined. BMW's more recent marketing efforts suggest the company thinks design and tech are becoming more important than driver engagement.

I really don’t mind that BMW is expanding into modern media and younger consumers. I’m mainly surprised they think it’s worth the effort for the last of its kind instead of staying true to the conservative fossils that is stuck in the past of what these cars and marketing has been and according to them “should be”.

With the next gen likely adding another 500 lbs of batteries and stuff together with a 3 or 4 banger that seems like a more natural time for radical marketing changes. But what do I know

That's not what they are saying.

The different segments of the target audience are reached in different ways:

Customer Acquisition/Growth: Social media helps bring new people to the brand which is clearly their goal here. Gets younger people and potential new customers to desire a BMW.

Customer Loyalty/Retention is done via more traditional methods. Dealer Communications, Performance Driving School, BMW CCA, Invites to preview new vehicles before announcement, loyalty incentives etc

You're clearly not in the first segment and that's OK. Not all content and messaging is meant to resonate with everyone and nor should it try.

Sincerely, a marketing guy

Ok. Just watched the video and there are few things I can't pass up.

First, I've read a lot of comments that the reviewer is attractive. Am I alone in thinking she's just meh... Nothing special really. In the produce isle, I wouldn't give her a second look.

Next, the review from the outset (whole gas can bit) is total garbage. And who among us would rev an unloaded engine to anywhere near 7,000rpm? Just because you can doesn't mean you should but thanks for the Pro tip Blondie!

What ever happened to proper ///M run in procedures (no high revs or launches until after the 1,200 mile service)? They'll reserve the right to void your warranty but in they interest of free social media marketing it's ok? C'mon now.

Lastly, it is my opinion that the car is going to prove worthy of the badge. I also predict it will win us over (rather easily) with unprecedented performance metrics once it falls into far more capable hands. Be patient my friends!
